I fell and broke my arm in 2 places (humerus and radius - withih an inch of my elbow on either side) on Thursday. Friday, I saw my orthopedic surgeon, and I am not to run for at least the next month. Probably longer. I'm in a cast that reaches from my shoulder to my fingertips, so most of the usual cross training activities are out. He is anticipating this cast for a month, then an immobilizer for another 10 weeks.<br><br>
Any suggestions for workouts, other than walking? I can't think of anything else that would be workable with the cast.

Sorry to hear about your fall - and I thought the pain in my big toe was something to be concerned about<img alt="blush.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/blush.gif">. Do you have an exercise bike? It may not be the easiest thing but I can see being able to ride at a lower intensity just to keep sane.

Hi Decorner! Don't have anything to say that would be helpful other than I hope that your arm heals up ok and your break from excercise goes ok. Larry

Thanks guys! I'm thinking the bike will probably be my best bet when I'm allowed to exercise again. I'm banned for at least the next 3 weeks, though. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif">
