So... Sheldon has me swimming on Monday. I will be in Texas, visiting friends in Ft. Worth.

Are there any good websites for locating (indoor) pools?

I asked my friends, and neither of them knew of anything nearby, but neither one of them swims.

Look for the website of the local Parks & Rec. Department.

There's also a website somewhere that lists public swimming pools all over the world, a user-built database...can't remember the name right now...maybe Google could find it though.

Most offer day passes but I'd call ahead.

also check to see if there's a master's program in that town.
They'll know where the pools are!

I use this site all the time; http://www.swimmersguide.com/. I do check to make sure the info is correct. I even used this site to find a pool in Japan and worked! I love swimming in a pool near where I am visiting.

Thanks all!

Can you drop in at the Y? I tried to do that for a Spin class over the holidays and they told me I had to be a Y member and there was no drop in rate.

some no.
Some Y's you can drop in for certain things, but not others.

Best to call and check first.
