We actually said the words when he proposed. Which was after 3 years of dating.

It was never said, but always understood. I'm not good at saying those words to people, and now that we have said it we both say it all the time.

We were at Pooh's Pub in Boston in September or October of 1982. She actually told me she loved me first. So, that was 3-4 months into the relationship. My response was that I loved her too, although it was kind of a reactive response. The actual realization that I really was in love with her came shortly after that.

A few months. He knew and said it first. It took me a little while longer to discover the truth for myself. Thank goodness he's patient!!

I haven't said it yet- but we've only been dating for 5 or 6 weeks in at this point and while I am fond of her- I don't love her. Stop pressuring me!!

I can't remember, but we rarely say it to each other... we both agree that the word love gets tossed around too easily.. I love that car, that cookie, that house, that colour.. blah blah blah. So we've always said things to each other like I'm crazy about you, I adore you, You're the best, You're my sunshine. It makes my insides go squishy when DH looks at me and says "I'm crazy about you".

(for the record we've been together 9 years, married 5)
