go potty? I was seriously afraid someone would steal my TM last night if I got off of it to go to the bathroom. I see this becoming a trend in my future. We only have 8 TM at my rec center (one of them sucks really bad too).

I leave my towel and water bottle on the machine. But we have plenty of equipment.

We have six TM's so I hear ya on that. I usually leave all my stuff on it and instead of turning the TM off or pausing it (which it only pauses for 45 seconds anyway before shutting down), I turn it down to 0.5 MPH so the belt is still running but you can step on and off without wiping out.<br><br>

I leave my stuff on it, too... I also use the pause button, which goes for 2 minutes on ours.

Ditto on the leaving water bottle and towel. I just remember my time and distance and end up restarting when I get back, as our pause is 45 seconds, too.<br><br>
Do your machines have sign-outs, bikegirl72? Ours don't, but I've been to gyms where members use a marker and white board to sign out a machine. There is a 30 minute limit during peak times, except for two TMs you can use them for 60 minutes (and I exceed that :guilty: )

Here's an idea:<br>
When nobody looks, you spill a little bit of water under you, to make a small puddle. Then you say a louder OOPS and put your hands to your pants. Pretend you look around embarassed and run to the potty. There's a chance nobody will want to get on that TM.<br><br>
Or leave a note saying: "I just have to call my parole officer and will be back in 5 minutes. For your own good, please don't use the TM until then"

That is what I'm afraid of. I'm not holding it because I'm using another machine. I'm holding it because I'm pregnant and if I don't pee soon I'll burst and that will be very uncool.
