Is anyone else racing here weekend after next?

It will be my 4th time around.

I have made a pdf spectator guide that directs people to be able to see runners at 7.5, 11.5, 16.5, 22, and the finish. If you want a copy, I'd be more than happy to send one to you. Just email me at kcwoodhead at yahoo and I'll pass it along.

I'm not but I just wanted to say it's kinda funny how I can see you're quite excited for the race based on the # of posts...I'm the same way when a big race comes up and you are tapering - too much time to think! Good luck!

I have a friend who is downgrading from the HM to the 5k - I was hoping to get a good idea of what the full was like from her experience in the HM, but I don't think the 5k will be very representative at all.

I'll be running it too, but it's my first time! So far my taper has moved from the "I'm going to do AWESOME" stage to the "Oh no, I am going to die" stage. Hopefully I'll get back to the cheerful part by next week.

Good luck to both of you!

ACQruns - Never fear! That's normal. You're going to have a great time. It's nerve-wracking, but you'll amaze yourself. I always remember my first with a lot of fondness.

So are you checking the weather forecast 5x a day

Looks ideal for a boy from WI - low 40s at start low 50s at finish - I am not running, but I hope that forecast holds true - some fast times will run run.

Time to check the forecast again

Do you have all the clothes laid out?

Your gels in a nice little bag

Are your lucky socks ready

Actually the biggest thing I fret about is knowing / finding the proper marathon pace early in the race.

I remember the course as being very nice to 15 or 16 then getting a little bland, but that might have been the pain.

Have fun!
