so after spending 9 hours on what in theory was a 5 & 1/2-hour amtrak ride, I have arrived, safely back home here in carbsville. I'd forgotten that my parents' idea of healthy eating basically means no meat. Today i consumed a chocolate donut, 1/3rd of a pantelleone (sp?), 2 cups of cocoa, various bites of popcorn and potato chips, and countless pieces of toast. While I am a big toast fan, I'm not sure I can eschew less healthy options and survive on it alone for the next 6 days. I've scoured the kitchen, and there's not a vegetable in sight <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> Also, i never realized how much I could long for my brita water jug in the fridge at home - the water here is questionable, and there's nothing else to drink besides diet ginger ale. Hence the 2 cups of cocoa, which I didn't really want, but drank out of extreme thirst. After dinner I asked if anyone would mind me scrambling a couple of the eggs in the fridge for breakfast tomorrow, and my stepfather said, "Why? are you going on one of those low-carb diets?"<br>
