I have decided to enlist the help of our own Coach Sheldon to whip me into shape for this summer. He just posted my workout schedule, beginning next week.

Eeeek!

But I'm going to do my best!

That's exactly how I felt (and still feel some days) when I got my first coached schedule!

Trust yourself and your coach-you'll do GREAT!

Oh good! Because I have never swam 2400 yards before. I've swam like 1000. So... I have work to do!! Right-O!

you'll be fine too.

That's good to know, because I'm sure I'll have to do some switching as I get into it. But it's kind of exciting!

And I'll bet my questions are going to be every bit as high maintenance as yours!!

he he he he

we could have a contest to see who's the most high maintenance. lol

CS is the judge.
Ummm...wait...
maybe that's not a great idea.

My high maintenance levels come from a lack of vocab knowledge for the most part..... the "what do you mean by...." sort of thing.

And, decision making.
lol

And..... "food chain issues"

How am I supposed to stalk Sheldon if he turned everything off?

OH WAIT!

I have his work #...I'll give it to anyone...but it will COST YOU...like the price of a new tri bike.

I'm going to have the same kind of questions for sure, stitcher.

Like the first swim workout? HUH? There are a lot of letters in those that mean nothing to me. I'm sure I'll catch on, but in the meantime, Sheldon will want to drive to Colorado to beat me with my bike.

Yeah, because I think "swim?" Go to the pool, flail around for a while. So I have serious work to do.

My questions to Sheldon consist mostly of, "will I be DFL?", "why am I so slow?", "am I the only one who is exhausted?" and "will I ever have energy to have sex?".

His answers - "no, you won't be DFL"
"you will get faster"
"everyone is exhausted"
"you might as well forget about sex"

Not me. I have never, ever, ever participated in any kind of tri event. I'm a complete virgin. Never biked, small amount of running and unable to swim. Swimming is my main problem. But I'm getting better. I can at least get across the pool now. But it's certainly not a pretty sight. I believe we've set my goal race for July 4th. I'm hoping I'll be able to swim 400 yds by then. I'd hate to tread water for several hundred yds.
