My weekly mileage is pretty low, lower than what I was planning on it being a few weeks ago. (Sorry for the whine.) But, I just got a 4 mile run in on the treadmill, nice and easy. Well, I did add a little sprint or two in there, just couldn't help myself.

8.25 miles this morning ending with 1.5 miles just above HM pace. Hoping to keep my mileage at 40 again this week with a 14 miler on Friday.

Jill.... slow and easy ... just work on getting you mileage back up to your training plan and then worry about speed

Jill, not racing this weekend... going skiing!
I may do another race though, the Endurance 50 at Bear Mt (the HM distance), on Apr 12.

I had some foot pains last week, got depressed, and acted like a girl when she's depressed - went shopping There's a brand new Road Runner Sports near me, a very cool store. Got a new pair of shoes, and it seems the old ones (almost 400mi) were causing the problems. But I'm still planning to take it easier this week, don't wanna push it and risk any injury.

Jill, going to the Poconos (Jack Frost or Camelback or both). So it's not actually skiing but I'll be with friends and drink a lot.

I'd be happy to switch with you. 6 miles this evening, with wind chills in the low teens.

I hear you about going out early. One advantage of the colder winter weather here is that I don't have to get up early for my long weekend runs.

I'm probably not the norm.... but I like getting up early and starting my long runs at 4:30 or 5:00 so I end them about them same time as I would my 7 and 8 milers...... it makes me feel like my running isn't interfering with the rest of my life

4 fast-ish miles today. Put me at 37 miles for the week. Was supposed to be 40, but with the quad injury I was told I should skip my speed workout. So I skipped it, but threw in the 4 fast-ish miles today anyway, for a modified speed workout of sorts.
