I'm still out for the week. Hopefully I'll be able to get out for a run or two this weekend. Something short, 2-4 miles.

How is everyone dealing with this weather, mentally?

Today was far from sucky here in NJ, at least this morning. I got 6 miles in, with temps in the 60's. Good thing I got the run in early, because it has been raining off and on and temps have been dropping all day. Back to winter tomorrow.

This week I plan on adding a mile or two to get up to around 39 miles.

Cindi, I don't know how you do it. I didn't want to walk to my car let along hoof it out there for any miles. Today the treadmill was my friend for 3 miles. I sitll don't have a plan. I'll work on that tomorrow. At work. Seriously, I downloaded the Hal Higdon intermediate plan and I'm prolly going to work from that. Sort of.

The weather, as MrPH knows, was very nice for most of the day. I went for a bike ride... there were 65 deg at home, 50 by the time I started, with winds at 20-30mph. So it started pretty bad.... and it only got worse, I was hit by a storm with about 5 miles to go to the car, the rain was so heavy I could barely see in front of me. But it was fun altogether

SLOjim, your wonderful weather sounds like August! I was in La Jolla last summer, went for a run in the morning, and almost froze to death, there were below 50. And this came after wearing a sweater in Vegas, also in August...

Finally did the 12 miler today... longest since early November. About 24 degrees, which is very nice and there's no wind on top of it. Felt strong throughout the entire distance... or at least the first 11.5 miles, when I got very hungry all of a sudden.

5.3 this evening.

Funny, I say that about the folks in the upper midwest. Being closer to the coast we get enough warm spells to break up the monotony of the cold. This winter has not been bad so far, and spring is right around the corner.

I've got my motivation to run back better and that's helped the last 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago I did 31.8 miles which was a new weekly high for me, followed it up with 21.7 miles last week but that wasn't the easiest 21.7 because for the first time I ran 4 days in a row when weather early in the week kept me from doing Tuesday or making up for that on Wednesday.

I'm not sure what's going to happen this week. I cut my Tuesday run short because of weather -- the wind was fricking awful and I did 5 miles. I plan to run this evening.

7 miles in the cold mid 50s So Cal drizzle this morning .... looks like I'll get another 40 in this week with a planned 7.5 progressive run tomorrow.

Jill.... take it real easy the first few runs you do....don't worry about your pace... just get some miles in and I'm sure you'll be back to your training plan in no time

I ran an easy 3 miles on the treadmill this morning. Yippee! Legs felt strong, it's my lungs that were holding me back. So, I'll put in easy runs this coming week and see what I can do next weekend.

I think I can run today, I feel a little weak but my legs feel all itchy twitchy like they need to run. I think I'll do the miles on the dreadmill in case I need to stop, even though it is really nice out. Well, for Minnesota it's really nice.

Yay Jill! Glad you are feeling better!! Sending healthy pink lung vibes your way ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~
