I am a neutral runner who runs fairly high mileage (over 2000 miles per year). I've been wearing Asics Gel-Nimbus shoes for several years now - 7's (my alltime favorites), 8's (ehhhh), and now the 9's(still ehhh, but better). I hear the 10s are being released soon.

I think it's about time to experiment with some other neutral Brands. What other brands and Models might you suggest I check out?

Thanks, Bill

I got a pair of Brooks Adrenaline 7s free when I ran Akron last year. They're pushing 400 miles and for the first time since I've started running, I'm thinking about getting the same shoe twice in a row.

BTW I switch shoes a lot because I'm blessed with very forgiving feet. Any nuetral shoe has been fine; I even trained in flats for a while until I realized I could only get 250 miles on them. Anyway, I switch because I've always bought whatever nuetral shoe was on sale. www.holabirdsports.com has them (the Adrenalins) for like $67.

Bill,

I've been running in Asics Gel-Nimbus for a number of years now....don't know how many pairs I've gone through... usually get 400 miles out them. Last year I got a great deal on a pair of Brooks Glycerin's at the Carlsbad Marathon and really like them..... I think they're a little lighter but have as much cushioning and last longer.....I've gotten about 500 miles out of both pairs.

Have you bought from this company before? Their prices look good on the Brooks Glycerin...... how's their shipping .... do they get their shipments out quickly?

I hover around 2000 per year, and I switch between Aisics Cumulus, Landreth and Mizuno Wave Riders. I haven't used Waveriders since the 9's and I know the 10's got some funky reviews from friends of mine who wore them. I think they are on 11's now, so I might give those a try at some point.

I can usually squeak in about 450-500 miles out of the Landreths, and 500-550 out of the Cumulus and Mizuno Wave riders. I'm a fairly light weight guy, tall but thin 150 pounds.
