Let's get better acquainted, Team Quality!

I'm sistergoldenhair (SGH) and this is my first round as a captain, but I've played every round of the game. My points level usually hovers between Super Badass and Mega Super Badass. I mostly run to earn points as I have a little addiction to marathons, but luckily due to my job (teaching pilates, yoga, and spinning) I can also pick up extra points without trying.

One goal I have for this round is to earn more points by lifting weights. I admit I don't enjoy lifting and make myself do it, even though I know all about the benefits.

Let's support each other and have a great time all the way around the country. If I can assist you in any way, say the word.

One more thing: You have a semi-absentee cap'n this weekend. I'll be out of town Friday-Sunday (earning us some points, though!) and expect to be online infrequently if at all. Fear not that I will tally and turn in our team points for the weekend on Sunday night.
Thanks SGH! I'm really looking forward to this

I'm training for a half... so, I should be able to throw a modest amount of points in.
This is our team:

hally
I know quite a few of you well enough to know that we are going to be VERY competetive. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Given the scoring system for this, should team "Quantity" be our goal?

This is my first time doing this, sounds like fun. I'm currently trying to build back up a decent base after drifting a bit in December. My mileage isn't quite where I want it to be yet, but I don't skip days(none missed since October '05), so at least I'll be earning points for the team every day. I should be able to handle 40-50 miles per week barring injury plus probably 30 minutes of core work every other day. No races coming up for me though, so no points there.
Hi SGH and Team Q,

I'm wanderingoutlaw (abbreviate how you wish--WO and outlaw seems to be most common). After a miserable December with respect to running, I'm looking to rebuild my base. I should be upper badass to lower super badass as far as points production. I'm also going to try to start some core work a couple of times a week.

Looking forward to virtually running with y'all.
Hi Mailbox Head!

How about we compromise -- Team Quality AND Quantity! Quantity will get us to the top of the Leaderboard, and Quality will get us to our individual goals healthy and feeling good.
Hi y'all proud to be a Team Q member!!

I signed on as a Badass, I do a large mix of running and x-training 6 days a week generally. This will keep me motivated to run since we get the most points for it. I see some of my favorite Masters guys and a gal, looking forward to meeting the rest of ya.

Hiya Team Q mates!

Looks like our roster is stacked with beauty, brawn, and brains
I feel sort of sorry for the other teams ....... NOT!

I'm in the 2nd half of my training plan for the Napa Valley Marathon ( 3/2/08 ), so I hope to pitch in as much as possible .... and have FUN!
I haven't run since last year... (Monday)
December was a near run-less month due to surgery on the 6th but I am ready to meet my bad ass goals to help team Quality on to victory!

I like SGH's weight lifting goal and I am going to try for some of that, too!

I like our team!
Not sure how many of my fellow Qs I know but, I signed up as a badass this time around and I'm training for my first marathon in June so hopefully I'll be able to contribute.

Goal this time is to accumulate some points besides just running.

Looking forward to kicking some ass though.
Good to see you all enthusiastic about getting across the country. I', starting out on Saturday in Jackson, MS with a 26.2 jaunt! I'll have to follow up next week with some alternative points!
Evening cap'n sis & other team members.

I'm coming off an injury (aren't we all) and signed up as either a BAIT or a badass, but if all goes well, I should be good for 20-30 MPW for the next month, not to mention an hour or so of weights and a couple of hours of yoga a week.

I participated in the last VRAA and our team (F) came in DFL, and I mean DFL by a whole bunch, so I'm hopin for better times from team "Q"
