I've got some questions for anyone who's had to deal with this as this is what I'm currently undergoing treatment for. One of my hobbies is making jewelry and I discovered some really great metal to work with. I couldn't specifically identify it at the time(turns out one of the minor elements in this alloy is antimony) but after about a week of working with it I was beginning to have problems, increased weight gain(apparently antimony acts just like arsenic in eventually stopping metabolic function), gastrointestinal distress including upset stomach, sleep problems and yesterday a very very bad taste to everything I ate. I was just diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning mostly in antimony but I have elevated levels in everything else too; which I think is probably a remnent from my auto restoration days, dealing with very very old vintage cars and parts that did contain heavy metal; though it was suggested that those may just be from living around so many "antique" and "classic" coal fired power plants that we have here in Madison so who knows....

After one treatment I can now taste things again without a very strong metallic bitterness being present and though it's only been one day after, my constant tiredness is gone too! The trouble is that I have levels of heavy metal that to eliminate safely will take 2 months at a low dose oral chelator (to prevent what he called "die off" of organ tissues when the metals are going out of my tissues into the blood stream too quickly). It's really an amazing difference after being treated once, I feel like I'm alive again and hopefully this will help with all the other issues i've been having too especially with fatigue.

I'm wondering about diet for that time as I've been told that the treatments for heavy metal poisoning can remove essential metals like zinc, copper, iron etc. Anyone have experience with this? Something I forgot to ask was whether or not the treatment would affect potassium levels, as that seems to be a deficiency at showed up too in testing?

Any advice would be welcome!
