The cardio didn't like what the stress test said about blood supply to the part of the heart covered by the artery he already stented. Could be a test problem. Could be a stent problem He's gonna look. Also says that while he's in, will probably do angio/stent on my other half-blocked artery.

update:
cardio re-catheterized me on Mon. Original stent doing fine. RC artery (which he thought was about 50% obstructed) was close to 80% closed. He angio'd and stented that one. Says other arteries are only 30-40% clogged and I have an ejection fraction around 60%. With a little luck, should be able to abandon this thread. Pointing toward fun-running a 5k at the end of April.
Thanks to those who expressed an interest. I really appreciate you guys.

Do you feel any different now that all that blood is flowing like Niagara falls?

A little soon to tell. Can't really test it until the swelling in my groin goes down a bit more. Hoping to see a noticeable difference.

Well, I was still a little too sore on Saturday - had to walk. Monday morning - did a little over 3 @ about 9-and-a-half pace. It felt good. Treadmill @ lunch today. Doing a lot of push-ups. Signed up yesterday for a 5k my club is putting on at the end of April. Gonna fun-run it. On the down side - a pretty lite gym workout kicked my ass yesterday. It'd be nice to be able to sort it all out and know what is heart-related, what is meds and what is just being out of shape - sitting on my ass for a month. Not likely to figure that out. Pretty much decided, tho, I'm changing cardios - got a recommendation on a guy who's a little more "chatty".

Post- treadmill ..... Bleah. Running on Coreg is like running in ankle-deep mud. 3 miles and I could barely get my HR above 90.

I think changing docs is a good idea based on what you've said here. Way too long to wait on stress test results, and, they can be given over the phone.

I had angioplasty on May 11 - three new stents in my RCA.

When I had a heart attack in 2008, I was running in ~2 months, and ran a 5K at 5 months.

Well, at least you know the drill. I really didn't lose all that much time with my 2nd angio - just waitin' for the swelling to go down. Are they jackin with your meds? I finally talked my cardio into bringing down my Coreg dosage and I'm starting to feel human again.

Hang in there - you've gotta be supercharged with 3 new stents!

btw - I lived in Woodridge just before I came down to TX - from about '85 to '97.

2nd anniversary (cotton or paper, depending on what list you look at) - released from hosp. 2 yrs ago today. My biggest health concern right now is my damn left hamstring - so I guess I should be thankful for that.
