Hey, I'm on a posting roll tonight.

They won't operate on the shoulder. Surgeon says that there's a good chance that he would actually make things worse. Because I have responded to Physio and the cortisone, am no longer in agony and have (some) range of motion back he wants me to continue with that.

The Labral tear looks to be partial. I have arthritis, tendonitis and some tendon damage, a pinched nerve and on... so I just have to continue with the torture aka physio and be good for the time-being. I'll admit to some disappointment, but the guy is the best surgeon in town and I will trust him.

Heart - I dunno. Am seeing the cardiologist in a few weeks. The thought of chest busting is a tad off-putting. The valve replacement would be pretty straightforward and could be done without the major incision, but they may have to repair my aorta as it is distended due to the same defect that caused the valve deformity, and they need to ensure that it doesn't dissect. That surgery needs the chest busting. Determination on surgery dates would be based on the amount of cardiac insufficiency. They don't want to do the surgery too soon, but don't want to leave it too late. It would be good though to have a timeframe.

Better is a relative term Meri. The IMS has helped but boy the guy really digs in with the needles! I'm not in agony anymore, but it's a low grade pain now and it wears.
