i have been looking for headphones to wear while im running. i prefer the earbud kind and have tried countless kinds, most are too big, fall out when i run, or fit but are painfully uncomfortable after a while. i guess i have pretty small ears cause not many even fit in my ear to begin with.<br><br>
i found a pair of over the ear ones years ago that i like. they dont fit quite right, but are pretty comfortable but are worn out.<br><br>
any suggestions on what to try?
My wife has a problem with them not fitting or feeling good in her ears too. I found her a pair of Phillips earbuds (available at Target) that have different size rubber pieces that fit on them. The funny thing, she's wears the smallest size one on one ear and the medium size one on the other ear. Seems to work for her.
I have a pair something like <a href="http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/en/gb/consumer/cc/_productid_SHS3200_00_GB_CONSUMER/Earhook-Headphones+SHS3200-00" target="_blank">this</a>. <a href="http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/en/gb/consumer/cc/_productid_SHS8001_00_GB_CONSUMER/Earhook-Headphones+SHS8001-00" target="_blank">These</a> may be better for you though.
the shure in ear headphones are great. pricey, but awesome sound quality. they have a bunch of different types/sizes of earplugs so you can find something that fits your ear. the best seems to be the yellow foam ear pieces (ebay) that you squish and put in your ear. they then expand to fit perfectly. i've run 1,000s of miles with these and they do not fall out. you do need to replace the foam pieces every 6 weeks or so as they get pretty icky.
Have you tried the little foamy covers that you can get to go over them? My ear buds kept falling out until I got those. I only use them when I run indoors on the treadmill, and 99% of the time when I'm on the tm I'm doing speed work, and they've stayed in just fine with the covers.
I tried these after after doing some research, I really like them and don't have a problem with them falling out (I have small ears too!).<br><br>
They come with a few different ear pieces so you can customize the size that works best for you.<br><br><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325&tag=kickrunners-20&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB000FJEYZS" target="_blank">http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FJEYZS</a>
I love the koss spark plugs. They are the only earphones I have ever gotten that fit in my ears without being painful or falling out (I have tiny ear canals). Mine died and I replaced them with something else...I am not happy.
Check out JBuds...<br><br><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325&tag=kickrunners-20&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FJBuds-Hi-Fi-Noise-Reducing-Buds-Black%2Fdp%2FB000IG66VS%2Fref%3Dsr_1_1%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Delectronics%26qid%3D1201055426%26sr%3D1-1" target="_blank">http://www.amazon.com/JBuds-Hi-Fi-No...1055426&sr=1-1</a><br><br>
Inexpensive...sound good and come with 3 different size silicon ear buds.<br><br>
I have very small ears...and the smallest ear bud fits great. No issues with them falling out.
Have you tried this sort of thing?<br><br><img alt="" src="http://www.consumer.philips.com/catalog/SH/SHJ030_00_webImage370.jpg" style="border:0px solid;">
i looked at those yesterday...the bud portion looks like it might be a bit too big. I tried some nike buds before and the buds fit ok, but were painful after about 30 min.
sure, these get suggested <i>after</i> i spend my amazon gift card! <img alt="roll_eyes.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/roll_eyes.gif"><img alt="surprised.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/surprised.gif">
