I stopped all running about three months ago because I reinjured a tendonitis that never really healed. I am now off everything with shoe inserts, had another shot of cortozone, and am sitting tight... but worried it may never go away. The first time, I never really stopped exercise so this is the first real attempt to get rid of it. I would love to hear of a success story in getting rid of one forever from someone who is back up and running - and how you did it.

Yes, but it took time. I have a hard time not working out so I ended up on the elliptical. I would tape up my foot before I worked out.

I also took all the antiinflammatory non-medicine stuff I could find.

Turmeric - I probably took about 5 tablespoons of this a day and same amounts of ginger powder along with glucosamine sulfate/chondroitin (I didn't think I got much out of the last 2) and I also used DMSO on the spot because I read it could help with the scarring issue.

To try to jack up my body's recovery I took 2 tablespoons of Glutamine powder before I went to sleep because I read that it ramps up the release of growth hormone.

Now that part is ok and the thing I'm dealing with now is my right hip.

I think you can eventually get over anything, but everyone's body is different. You have to listen to it.

Hope it works out for you.

It happened to me about 10 yrs ago. It started acting up - but I had to train for a marathon. Then after the race it started to get worse (a 2-hr quarter-mile relay didn't help). It was past the rest and lifts stage. My podiatrist sent me to PT. The guy was very hands on and he had to work on me for a couple months. But it went away and I really didn't hav any AT problems for years after.
