Going out or staying in?

We're staying in and having ribeye steaks with bearnaise, Sicilian potato gratin, and roasted asparagus.

Didn't get to baking or sorbet making last night so I'm sending BrewDad to the local bakery for either a lemon or fruit tart.

Dinner will be whatever's in the freezer. We'll probably celebrate V-day on the weekend as I have swim practice tonight. Priorities, you know

Eric - good on you! DH will likely show up at home tonight with a nice bottle of wine and some flowers if he's feeling motivated. I would fall over if he set up something like that for valentine's day!

Staying in tonight - not really celebrating but I know we are having Gnocci Bolognese Bake with Garlic bread and salad ( I can feel my Arteries clanging shut just thinking about it )

Enjoy the day regardless of going out - staying in - single - together - whatever

We are going out/staying in.............can't do an overnight so I have a suprise....babysitter lined up...we are going to a hotel that is the next town over and 2 minutes from our favorite Thai place...so we will hang in our room with thai takeout, jacuzzi, etc....little break from the kiddos and time for ourselves.

I thought it would be an adventure and change of pace from dinner out.

Happy Valentine's to everyone!

We're going Mexican for Valentine's Day: ****** burritos, chips, salsa, guac. Nothing too special, but it's become an easy to make favorite for us.

I was so hungry earlier, I already ate my lunch (at 10am!!). I'm going to have to find some snacks since I still have a swim and a ride on the trainer to do before dinner.

Beth: Too funny! OMG that happens to me. If I do an early workout and have my breakfast at 7, I am sooooooo ready for lunch at 10

we don't do valentine's day (I thought it sucked when I was single, it would be hypocritical to start celebrating it now), but I did get an ecard from my husband this morning that said "I could watch TV with you forever".

husband is in toronto this week for work, so tonight I will be running at the gym, then foraging for food. I think I have flank steak I need to cook before it goes bad, I just need to figure out what to do with it. (I'm not the cook in our house)

Crazy Thursday = FFY night at Maison Bannon. DW gave me a coupon for a heart-shaped Papa Murphy's pizza to pick up on the way home. Awww...Oh wait, it's for the kids.

We're staying in and not doing a normal dinner. I think we're doing, wine, cheese, crackers, maybe popcorn and definitely chocolate dipped stawberries and bananas yummy!!

Roast with potatoes and carrots. Will try to bake bread, but not sure I'll have time. This is our "when we met" anniversary, so we really should do something special but neither of us really has the energy.

No celebrating for us either, just not really into Valentines that much. Dinner is ribs, slaw and baked potatoes.

Staying in. We aren't much for Valentine's Day. DH will cook pork tenderloin medallions with apple sage cream sauce. Not sure what the side will be, but probably spinach leaves with some other stuff in them or roasted carrots with walnuts (we never had those the other night). We will have bread as well to load up on a few carbs. We also have chocolate dipped strawberries for fun. DDs saw them in the fridge and said, "We saw our surprise. We saw some strawberries with icing on them!" LOL

Last night was apricot chicken -- that's one DH made up. It has a cream sauce as well made with dried apricots. Mmmmm!!!

We gave each other cards (which were similiar!) and had a lovely dinner together.

I made cupcakes and we filled up a thermos of hot chocolate, grabbed a banlket and went to a outdoor concert by a local band. It was great weather for it and a lovely evening
