3+ walk yesterday, same today. I can't get in any running this week but the fast walking is fine given my race strategy anyway.

I have no idea what I'm wearing for the race though.

G'morning, Moe. And all who follow...

First of all, today is the last day to submit an entry for the Phantasy Philly game. See this thread for the rules on what to do. Anybody can play, so please pick a team and join us...

No run yesterday. Today will be an east 3 miles. I think I'm handling the taper pretty well. I'm not going as nuts as I usually do with the lack of running. Maybe I'm getting used to it...

Okay, folks, that's it. Have a great day...

Mandaroo- I got my foam roller online a couple of years ago before they sold them in stores. I think the shipping was more than the foam roller, but still not a bad deal...especially b/c I cut it half with a saw and gave half to my now DH.

hey all -

Planning for a few miles (distance TBD) tonight when I get home.

I am getting excited for Philly! Not about the race quite yet, I save up my nerves for the few hours immediately before the race...I suppose it's a good thing that the race is earlier than I usually prefer to be awake and functioning?!?

Good runs/taper/rest/walks to all today!

Morning all! Got in an amazing and surely painful (we'll see when it hits) weights workout last night. We supersized most reps, I lost count after roughly 130 lunges. And that was just lunges. Eeeks! Tonight will be a handful of miles running and possibly some yoga if I can squeeze it in.

Congratulations to anyone hear on the winning VRAA team - Team H. Great job all!

Roo - I don't think the stick works like the roller ...not for me at least. I'd buy it online (either at pilates.com or amazon.com)

I'm sorry, what did you say? HUH? I do not understand how one accomplishes this.

Good morning all. My body just told me "not today" so I listened. Switching my cross training to tonight and my run to tomorrow morning (just swapping those two workouts as to not miss anything). Someone mentioned needing more sleep and I think I am starting to feel that myself. 7 hours seems to be too short lately. Need to wind it down about 10 pm if I am going to get up at 5:45 or so.

I wish you all nothing but success today in your exercising and life in general.

Awesome speed workout last night -- 4x400 + 4x100. The problem was, I had to do it on a treadmill b/c I had not packed anything reflective to wear outside in the dark. Those 100s on a treadmill were s.c.a.r.y!!! I thought I was going to fly off the back of the danged machine!!!

Tonight I teach 2 classes. Remind me to take it easy so I don't do anything stupid to make myself overly sore this weekend!!!

Hey all:

Late night last night moving furniture all around the house with my brother. I managed to relocate our entertainment center without having to completely disconnect and reconnect everything, and that was pretty much the highlight of night.

Someday, I need someone to explain to me why everything that hooks up to a TV needs its own 5 cables and its own remote. And why the cable remote insists on turning on the TV and off the cable box. Or vice versa. Have the people who design this carp had their heads in sand for 20 years? Argh.

Anyway, probably 7-10 on the fast side tonight with my running store group.

That's about it.

Honestly, I don't get the lunging thing.
