Hola! Man, I really wish I could find a half marathon that started at 9 or 10 in the morning! This getting-up-at-3am stuff bites! Anywho.. I'm certainly not expecting to do my best on the event, but last night I remembered that my heath right now is still better than what a lot of other people have - so with that in mind, I'll run the best that I can today.

(holy run-on-sentence, Batman!)

Best of luck to our other racers today. Shake a leg, people!

Hi Everyone!

I've been reading all week, but have problems from time to time posting on the site--it's a funky password thingee.

I have also been sick since about Wed night with a really cruddy throat thing. I kept thinking it would become a cold and didn't; instead I lost my voice which made more than a few people happy. Haven't run a step since Wed due to on/off fever. Hopefully a bit tomorrow--I'm starting to get craaabbbbyyy.

(((Litch's foot)))). How's the legs Lora and Duckie?

GREAT racing and running!! Bob, Mindi, Alarie! Mindi--did you do the mud run? One of my friends from HS and his company organized the event, so I'm curious about what you thought. He wants to take over some other midwest running events that he feels aren't organized well.

How are you feeling Mr. Marathonmaniac, KP?

I saw Jill ran 24 today!!

RTFL--that wasn't one for a local CC ski club was it? If so, I've done it and that one is really flippin' hard, but fun!

B&B I think were doing a 1/2 today...right? Or Baggs was? I could be wrong.

I'm signed up for a little 10k next week. We will see. Gotta feel better first.

Nice hardware, Mindi!! Have fun! Russ is my friend...tell him I say, "yo". You'll have to use my real name, though.

These look like great fun, but I realize from doing Insanity DVD's that I'm "pylometrically" impaired. I've also never been good at rope climbs, etc and admire that skill. Hmmm....a) work on it and then sign up? b) maybe people don't really care??

Hope you got a prize, Moonie!! Mindi--he's part of Multisport Events, but maybe there is some cooperation between the two? I just know he told me to sign up for it....?? Hope it was muddy fun!

I just ran three miles which used to be nothing and today felt like something. I am coughing a bit, but feel so much better. I am always amazed at how much a lack of activity affects my mood. I'm not an addict...nooo.....

Off to get little pretzel/cracker packets for the trick or treaters. (I've done this the last few years instead of candy...only a tad healthier, but a winner with smaller kiddos).
