I have been training for the past 3 months for a half in early march (my first)

Got my mileage up to 30 for two weeks in a row.....had been slowly increasing from a base of 15 about 3 months ago.

My knee hurts....it is runners knee, so I am taking a few days off.

What should my strategy be for the next 3 weeks.....I have gotten two 13 mile runs in....so I know I can do the distance, but that was pre-knee pain.

I am thinking I should not run until the pain is gone, then just do one more long run of 10....and keep the rest at 5 to 7.

I self diagnosed that it is "runners knee" from the Cool Running website which details the symptoms, shows a test you can do.

My knee was fine until I added the mileage....I think I added too much too fast.
It feels better already since I skipped a few runs.
