Have been having what I thought was indigestion for about a week, then this morning while on the computer, me old ticker jumped and seemed to go up my back into my head. I thought I was going to peg it. I headed for A&E had a couple of ECG's blood tests and a chest xray. The doc said his boss whom he had discussed the results with had said he would like results like I just got, from the ECG ( textbook apparently) blood tests only cholesterol up and xray, clear,( once I had removed my glasses from my pocket for the second axray).<br>
He was pleased with the result and said I can continue to run, I have to see my doc about the cholesterol and have a walking treadmill test, probably in a couple of weeks. I alway wanted to get an ECG to check but was afraid of bad news. Now I'm glad I did but still a bit nervous, sod this 50 malarky <img alt="" src="http://www.fetcheveryone.com/images/icons/icon_smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;">

Thanks but it was good to get the all clear to run..........I have a 7 miler tomorrow but will run it easy.

p.s. It's not being 50 that does this to you. My poor hubby had a few scares like this before he was 50. Anyway, get thyself to a cardiologist and an internal medicine specialist. In my hubby's case, he had some anomalies with his EKG that needed to be monitored, no extra medicine needed (thank goodness). Also, he had a raging case of GERD that went undetected for <b>seven</b> years. Odd how something digestion related can make a person feel it's a heart attack.<br><br>
What you felt and experienced was real and you deserve a good medical diagnosis. I wish you well and hope things will be ok for you.

Glad you are okay, must have been a tense time for you. Good that you are able to keep running. Hopefully only a small change in diet will soon sort your cholesterol.

Tom, I hope I'm more than 1beat away from eternity, they think it might have been a trapped nerve but I am up for doing all the tests and actually have been feeling real good. Econo, they said cholesterol was borderline but I like mine well below that. I also was reading about how sitting on front of the monitor can effect people by making them dizzy which was part of it. Yes Elaine, I've given up the couple of bars of chocolate (candy) a day and the biscuits (cookies)......<img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br>

I don't have to watch my cholesterol - I pay a whole medical team to do that for me.<br><br>
And walking treadmill tests can turn into running treadmill tests.
