Happy New Year, JJJ!

I guess everybody's sleeping in. We had an early dinner out with the family last night and since I've not been feeling too well (radiation treatments starting to catch up to me I think), I went to bed by 10. So this morning I had the streets to myself. 20F no wind, so I ran 10K, nice and slow (54:01, 8:41 pace). Felt nice, peaceful.

Here's wishing you all happy, healthy new year!

Happy New Year JJJ, Mike and everyone else. Good health to all and your loved ones. Raining here, I will check it out and run either out or on the treadmill in my building.

Now starts the month or so of mobs of folks at the health club. Will try to avoid that, luckily my building gym is not as likely to see that action.

BBL to report !

Good Luck this morning 3J's!
6.5 easy and pleasant miles to start the new year's training log.
It's snowing gently here like a snow globe. Going to curl up with a book, put a log on the fire and settle in for the day.
Happy New Year everyone! ccasion5:

Go JJJ!! No snow here...45F and sunny, no wind, perfect way to start the New Year .

We spent a quiet evening at home watching the tube.. DS was one of the revelers in Times Square last night and we were hoping to spot him on Anderson Cooper 360 last night...LOL

8.06 miles of hills @ 8:40 pace...what started out as an easy run turned into a hill tempo run. It was exciting to run on such a beautiful sunny day instead of in darkness, so I just let go a little this morning. I figured if I have any problems they would show up after this run...
I did something a little different this morning. Instead of going right inside I decided to walk 1 untimed mile. I think that it might have helped to alleviate some potential AT problems..we'll see...feels good so far.

Have great runs today.

I'm waiting for the weather to deteriorate. High Noon it is. Extreme wind and possibly snow. BRING.IT.ON!

Now ... pink Betty Page wig or NeverGetsOld curly rainbow wig? Oh, choices ... choices.

irunmike, I didn't know about the radiation treatments. Glad you had a nice peaceful run. Good health to you and ALL MASTERS in 2008.
Morning all,
Will run a 9 later when DW going swimming. Went to bed about 10:30 last night but the illegal fireworks really does a number on the pups; so was awake until 1:30. Have good runs and races today.

Had to turn on the heater this morning. 2nd time this winter season. Suppose to get back in the mid 70's this weekend.

Here in CT I was still sleeping during the "gentle snow fall". Now it's raining and I'm opting for the bike in the basement. Nothing going on today, so if it stops I'll get out for a run too.

CassadAAmius----thanks for your input. I agree that MP runs would benefit me more. I will be tweaking the program a bit and definately backing off if I start breaking down.

Happy New Year everyone!

G'day runners. 9 in 1:34:04 for the annual Resolution Revolution. Blowing snow here in Indy but overall not too bad for a run. cj

Good morning all. Had 2 cups of coffee and have stopped coughing, so it's time for me to hit the stationary bike in the basement as soon as I load up my new ipod. It's pouring cats & dogs here. JJJ, good luck with the race!

irunmike, I hope you feel well again soon. Your run was nice.

I planned to join our running group this morning but... I went to bed at 0130, awoke at 0330 and noticed the 18yearoldboy was still not home. I waited up for an hour and then called his cell phone which he didn't answer, so I kept calling for 8 full minutes until he finally did answer.

It is now 1215 and he still isn't home. When I talked to him at 0430, he said he was just going to stay at Trevor's.

Anyway, I missed the traditional New Year's Day run and I am sad about that.

Here's what happens:

0700: Byron plays bagpipes, Tom serves shots of chili pepper vodka and then everyone runs a slow 5 miles around the college and historic area.
Ralph went and said, "You have to be there next year."

Oh well. Lilmissrosie and I went to 1000 Mass. I lit a candle for munchkn and all cancer patients.

I hope Joe comes home soon.

Good Morning Boomers! Happy New Year! Thanks for starting Jesse. Beutiful day on the Bitterroot, a bit cold 6 degrees, waited tell it warmed up to 10 to go out and split some wood. I went to bed before the fireworks but figured when I woke up it would be 2008 and didn't need my help to get it there. Sure enough it is 2008.

Went out for a nice hike in the snow in Blodget Canyon yestarday morning.

Riley it is great that that bug is going away. Got in some cross training with the snow shovel. I don't get in a hurry any more on that, go shovel a bit come in for some coffee and then shovel a little more. No more sore backs. There was a time when I used to compete with my quickest time clearing walks and drives...stupid.

Good Runs All, Larry
