You don't scarf their chocolates, you savour them. But these cookies get scarfed.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">If you're not blessed to be near a Callebaut outlet you can use any other higher quality chocolate, or if hard pressed - Hershey's will do in a pinch.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:large;">Measure the oatmeal and bend in a blender to a fine powder.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:large;">Cream the butter and both sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add the chocolate chips, shavings, and nuts. Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:large;">Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies - or less depending on your taste for fresh batter before baking.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:large;"><b>Food Memory:</b> Every year our musical friends get together and rent a group camp in the foothills for a relaxed weekend of song, music, hiking... and eating.
