Add the sugar, seasonings, salt, and pepper to taste. Add the breadcrumbs and stir until well mixed.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Preheat oven to 375F. Grease a casserole or baking dish. Slice the tomatoes and layer them in the dish, dotting with butter or margarine and alternating with the breadcrumb mixture. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or so.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">You could also add pine nuts to it to make it a sort of pesto gelatinous mess.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Actually, this is a good easy side dish.</span></span>
