Mix in bowl. Set aside.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Combine all dressing ingredients in a container with lid. Shake well before serving. Can be made up a day or two in advance.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Combine all almonds ingredients in a non-stick frying pan or pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted sugar turns golden brown and coats almonds (approx. 5 - 10 minutes). Turn out onto a piece of greased foil. Cool and break into small pieces.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Cooks and cooks' helpers treat the almonds as snack food. It's best to double the almond recipe so that by the time the salad is ready to serve, there'll be some almonds left!</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"><b>Assembly</b></span></span><br><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Add almond pieces to salad. Add dressing just before serving. Serves 4 - 6 people.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;"><b>Substitutions</b></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:large;"><span style="font-family:Arial;">Salad: Can be made with a combination of spinach and romaine.
