Grizzly's Vegetarian Gravy

This is one of those "by feel" recipes. I'm putting it down here because of a demand received from my family. I apparently have to copy my performance next major feast.

6 onions chopped

One cup vegetable stock (bouillion cube and water)

Dehydrated onion flakes

2 oz. White whine

2 tbsps. corn starch mixed in 1/4 cup cold water

I started this really early, the onions cook for 4-6 hours on low. Stir them occasionally and if they start to stick just add a bit of water.

About an hour before I needed the gravy I added the vegetable stock and wine.

Let it simmer for a while, then add the corn starch to thicken it up. Pepper to taste.

I used a hand blender to "zip" up the mixture, leaving some onions intact. Added some dried onion flakes and let it sit until required at supper.
