<p>I'm going to be taking a biiiig leap this fall.  I am soloing for the first time as a special guest at a friend's concert in October and not only is that enough to set me into fits of nervousness, I'll accompany myself on banjo (for one song) in public for the first time.  Then in December at our annual Christmas benefit I will introduce the evening with a story and instrumental on the banjo.  Gack.</p>

Well, I PLAY AT Bluegrass! It's been many years since I've played - but am excited about it.</p>

<p>I found that when I play in public, a few stiff drinks seems to calm my nerves enough to make it through the song! Good luck on your performance and I'll let you know if my 'fingers' come back !</p>
