I lost the battle with the snooze button again this morning.

Play nice.

Today marks one month since my PF went *SPROING* and my mind went

I've attempted to slog once.

I've modified, stretched, iced, stretched, iced, modified, stretched, yada yada.

Last week I ditched my original [custom] orthotics.

My feet have obviously changed over the years, because the orthotics hurt like frickin' HELL on my arches!

Self diagnosis: I think the original custom orthotics may have helped cause some of the PF issues, since I'd never suffered from it till last month.

I'm now testing out a couple different off-the-shelf ortho inserts....and will look until I find something which supports the arches AND helps give heel relief.

meri,

What is the orthotic brand you use? I know you posted it, but I didn't write it down.

Currently I've got 'Footminders' in my running shoes....I'm not running, but have found them to give comfort and support in my bootcamp class. No jumping or plyos or jogging; but they feel good with the workouts I do.

I've also got some Spenco women's q-factor ortho insoles, which I'll try out next week.

Saw a big buck on my road coming home from work Tues night. eek.

Porty-- I use SOLE heat moldable inserts. You stick them in your oven at a low temp to soften them, then put them in your shoe and stand in the so they mold to your feet. I love them. I think some massage on your feet would really help. Did you used to see an ART guy?

Well, I am excited for this morning, because we are going to take Zoe to a place called Bounce U, it is a big indoor play area of like moon bounce things! LOL. She is really into jumping lately, so i think she is ready. I bought a 5 session pass on Groupon recently for a steal. THen we need to swing by the DMV to get my picture taken for a new license.

Good morning! Busy day yesterday. I hope today will be calmer. I woke up about 2 and couldn't fall back to sleep for what felt like a long time.

Meri- Soli went to a birthday party at Bounce U once. What a fun place! We also have similar business around here called Monkey Joe's, but I like Bounce U better.

hmmm. Zoe was a bit too young for Bounce U. The music was SUPER loud and i think it was just a little overwhelming. So we went to the DMV for a million years to renew my license. Well, just get the picture taken. i already renewed it.

I hate loud music/noise. I'm one of those obnoxious patrons who asks people to turn the music down in restauarants. I don't remember music when we went.

It was so loud i could barely hear myself think. Next time, when Zoe is older (thinking in 6 months) i may say something. There were only two other kids there, totally not necessary. I felt so bad for Zoe, because in the Bounce U there was a Kindermusic class going on with babies and she thought it looked like fun, but could not participate. Their door was open. I guess they rent out space there. She has been really into jumping on the bed and couch so i thought Bounce U would be good, but just not yet. The woman with the two boys who were there said there is another similar place near us for littler kids. Will check that one out.

sorry to read that the bouncy fun didn't turn out as planned

I don't get ART on my foot, meri...in fact I don't get ART anywhere because it hurt like $^!& when I had a couple of sessions for my hip/back.

The PF issue is improving, but I want to purchase footbeds that allow me to slog again. The original custom orthotics do not fit my aging arches any longer, and I need something NEW AND NOW!

well, the ART would probably help the foot, but painful. If you have a regular massage therapist, just a massage, some good cross friction massage, should help as well.

I was really disappointed that Zoe could not enjoy the Bounce U. We'll go back in 3 or 6 months, our pass is good for a year from today.

The physical therapist in my school [for the kids in special needs program, NOT for the adults] has given me some great stretches and massage tips that are PF specific....and they're working!!

I'm religious about the stretches before getting out of bed and/or standing after sitting.

I've also been using Yoga Toes every night for 30+ min for the past two weeks [love those things], and my foam roller on the calves each evening.

I would HEART a series of professional massages *and* a personal acupuncurist (named merigayle) to make me all better.
