Good morning. Up wayyyy too early to go volunteer at the marathon. Zoe is coming as are my neighbors. It should be a nice day with nice weather. Once the sun comes up.

Unfortunately i got only 3-4 hours of sleep last night, and that is a generous estimate. I am so not into sleep meds, but i may have to consider it as i exhaust all other options.

G'morn!

Exciting day of college football yesterday. Wow!

Eric,
Enjoy the footy tourney!

Meri,
Maybe you could chat with someone to run down a list of why you're not sleeping...
Snoring DH?
Zoe sharing bed?
Old mattress?
Do you snore, or have apnea?
Electronics in bedroom?

I'm just tossing out reasons, and hope you're able to come up with a solution. I suffer with sleep issues too....so am sympathetic to your plight!

Good morning! Imagine my surprise that y'all are up so early. I'm trying to get my tummy to settle before heading out to the Flying Monkey Marathon. I am undertrained and on the tail end of a cold, so this is not going to be pretty.

Meri- sorry about the sleep.

FB-enjoy the soccer.

Porty - enjoy football!

Jebba,
You may check in here after the marathon:

Hope it went well!

I'm supposed to slog on the TM; but am having major loss of mojo this morn.
Oy! yesterday's bootcamp turned my legs into heavy lumps of mush. (nothing like multiple rounds of suicides and burpees to slow down this old bod)

Snoring DH, generally does not cause me to wake up.

We are transitioning Zoe out and last night she slept in her bed and i slept on the air bed next to her (worse contraption ever)

yes mattress sucks, we cannot afford a new one.

I do not snore

Electronics-- only a cd player and a clock. a humidifier, but not plugged in yet.

sigh. there is one more acupuncturey thing i can try, i will try when i go to work Tuesday. I have just been so busy while at work, i forget. Otherwise i may need to talk to the dr. which is really do not want to do. I really do not want to take a script.

I'll try to post a picture. The "medals" are actually wood. Each year they look different. This year they are square witht he monkey logo repeating and "Think Monkey" in the lower right corner.

Oh my, it rained heavily the entire race. I felt like my shoes weighed 5 pounds each. Never hit the wall, took some walk breaks on the hills, and jogged in at 4:23 something. Then I felt like my legs were concrete pillars of pain, and mr jebba said I looked green. I have the largest blister I have ever had. So I am feeling more relieved than triumphant. I'll probably feel triumphant tomorrow.

wow Jebba! I hate marathons in the rain. Way to go.

Your shoes probably did weigh 5 pounds each! Congratulations on finishing!

Meri,
It is good to see you've already looked at some of those sleep situations. Good luck trying to figure it out.
And yes, those air mattresses can be nasty.

Jebba,
You amaze me!
That finishing time, rain or not, would thrill me.
Take care to heal up!
