Good sunday Morning,

Good Morning,
 Not sure what is on tap today. Threat of rain again, and I need to get my lawn mowed. Hopefully it will hold of long enough until maybe this afternoon. Had an unplanned date night with teh wife last night. That was nice. Went to a bar/restaurant just up the road from us and she had a couple of glasses of wine and I had some beers. They had some local guy singing covers so that was nice. 
 
Soccer was good. DD's team was down 2 - 0 at half time and came back to win 4 - 2. They have won 2 games in a row for the first time in 3 years.
 
DS's team won 2 - 0 in a nice solid win. DS scored the opening goal. He didnt have to play goal and he didn't get hurt this week!

glad you had a nice date

we have not had a date since before DD was born. DH just does not want to

maybe for our birthdays in October.
 
Long run this morning, with my partner, who i have not run with since JUNE. Her SO has forbidden her from running with me

too much time, BUT i have baby clothes for them, so she is coming today

I hope it does not rain on us, but it looks like it will. 2 months of almost nonstop rain, going to cry! LOL.

What is up with your friend's hubby forbidding her to do long runs with you? Selfish man. 
I haven't slept well for a couple of nights, and could not drag myself out for the o'dark thirty plod. 
Either no workout, or suffer on the TM, which will it be? 
DS has a flight back to South Carolina later today. It was so nice having him home for a long weekend. 
He'll spend ~three more weeks on the Chattooga, then move back home for two weeks before he moves west to Telluride for his winter gig.

It's a beautiful morning here in Minnesota - mid 40's temps with no wind and plenty of sunshine. 
 
A friend is coming over shortly and we're going to go canoeing - with no boats on the lake, the water is glass so it should be a great morning on the water. Brats on the grill afterwards - then I'll probably wind up on the couch asleep or plucking my banjo or guitar the rest of the afternoon.
 
Ronan and I already started the day with a good walk so all in all it should be a decent way to end a pretty good weekend.

Good morning. Made breakfast pizza and the dishes are done. Time to get a shower and head to the lake. Fishing and kayaking abound today.

Rich...you live right on the lake, correct? So you can just wander down to the dock and drop the canoe in, eh?

What type of kayak do you have? 
We have several retired-couple friends who've purchased kayaks and go on and on about the fun. 
Guess I should give it a try someday.

Complete peace in my household this aftrnoon. Dog is snoring gently in my recliner in the frontroom; cat is lazily cleaning himself on the hassack in the front of the tv in the frontroom, and the Saints/Texans game from New Orleans is about to kick off.

porty- yep, right on lake. The canoe is in the dock, so just had to roll it in to the water. The trip was great! Saw a loon as well as one of the bald eagles that live here. 
Jenna has a different lake but wants my lake... it's a nice lake!!! (just sayin')

I have three Bic Ouassou kayaks 8'7". They're more for swimming and messing around on. I just bought a couple weeks ago, an 11" Rhythm Precision Kayak. Looking at bass boats and two more kayaks for a river trip the kids and I want to go on next spring. 
They boys caught some fish today. I got better at knots and got a few bites. I'm trying to learn to fish artificial bait... It's tough, but I'm getting there. 
Richard, when you're done with your campfire, give me a ring. (NOT THAT KIND OF RING!)
