Good Morning. Time change ain't good to me today I have a loooong run today. I am aiming to start at 7:30, then one friend will meet me at 8:30 and another two at 9:30, but then i will probably be solo once they are done running. At least the rain storms have stopped

Good morning.
Am recovering from a really horrible headache last night. I barely got myself home from work and the tylenol/ibuprofen finally kicked when I got home. I was really sleepy after and went to bed. I am feeling a little better this morning, but am unsure about my running plans.

Morning. Not a fan of one less hour of sleep, either.

I'm supposed to run a 15k in Central Park today, but I kinda don't wanna. I'm tired, it's windy, I won't really be able to race it, I'm beat up from 12 miles (and 6 hours) on trails yesterday, and I should probably just work.

Whine.

The snow and wind finally stops and it's clear skies. This morning's view from my back door.

There's a foot+ of fresh powder with drifts up to 3 feet. Here's a view from the front porch:

I did all the heavy shoveling last night, so there is ample time to go play today.

Good morning!

I got the same sleep. I just managed to sleep later. Tomorrow's work day will be the tough one.

It appears to be perfect running weather in northeastern NC today after a day of rain and high winds. I'll take it.

Yesterday I made my first trip to the thrift store with several bags of donation items. It felt good. I'll do some more purging today. A little at a time will be my method, I think.

meri, you must be running very long.

divaleh, what kind of trails were those that you spent 6 hours? Good job.

DEturtle, I hope you feel better.

roots, that's some commendable shoveling.

There's gonna be some cookin' going on around here today.

This morning, I'm starting another crock pot with ribs for dinner tonight. Tomorrow is a potluck at work and I'm baking lemon bars.

I signed up for a 15k race today (starts at noon) but it doesn't make any sense to drive down to run on a snowy surface. I'm looking to either run at the Y or find some local plowed roads. I have the screwed shoes and gaiters ready.

What a difference a day makes. That was some storm. Let's play!

SGH - evil, evil trails. It was an attempt to run TNF Bear Mtn's course. We didn't wind up doing that, instead just hit the trails for 6 hours. Total of about 12 miles. Mostly climbing, rarely actually running.

I'm in my race gear, but it's cold and windy out and I don't wanna head up to the park

Good morning everyone,
It's a beautiful, sunny day here. They're predicting 50 but it's about 20 right now, so we'll see. I'll probably take Eddie to the park again. I can't wait for my DH to get home from his ski trip late tonight! And tomorrow my dad heads to Charlotte, then back home. The visit has gotten better in the last few days since I read him the riot act AND got some sleep. But I'm tired of telling him to put his stuff in the dishwasher, turning off lights behind him and yelling at him for waking me up. (role reversal anyone?)

Divaleh, that sounds like a tough, tough run! Mt. Mitchell, north of here, offers the same kind of challenges.
meri, I'm sure you're out there already so hope you're enjoying the run.
Turtle and SG, hope you feel better. SG, it sucks that you held off on drinking beer last night AND couldn't sleep. Maybe next time you should indulge?
SGH, doesn't it feel good to get rid of unneeded stuff??
Roots, enjoy the food and snow fest! Thanks for the pics.

And have a great day everyone.

Chup - it was a combination of both. And I think we were on mostly all difficult trails, without any of the easier, runable portions thrown in. I think the 9 hours is doable, but it won't be a walk in the park.

Park. Speaking of. Notice me still here in my running clothes (and ear muffs) but NOT at the park getting ready to run.

<--lazy AND whiny.
