Good morning. It is raining, again. I am really getting sick of this endless rain. ARGH! Busy morning at work, then food shopping and errands.

Good Morning,

Supposed to be sunny and warm here again today. Friends are heading back to NJ today. It was a great week with them here. Hopefully we can see them at the beach this summer. Lots of outdoor chores to do since I blew them off last week.

meri,

the weather has been dreary, cold, WET, and *gakky* here too

eric,

Nice that your friends' visit went well. Good luck catching up on chores.

We've got both the PortySons here for the weekend. First time in almost TWO YEARS. wow

Their work/school schedules (and geographic locations) have made it impossible for them to get together until now. wow

They are best buddies, and seemed to have just picked up where they left off.

Here's a story to start your day:

Troll#1 is, among other things, a Wilderness EMT...and Troll#2, as well as being a nursing student, is going for his EMT cert too.

Unfortunately for their Gramma and DAD, part of last night's restaurant conversation was in the area of belay rescue, triage, trauma care, etc etc.

Poor Aileen & Bob were visibly upset, put too polite to put a stop to it. (they are not into blood, even while we *aren't* eating)

So I had to give the boys the "cut" sign slash across my throat to keep everyone happy.

<fwiw, the boys continued the conversation when we got home and were out of earshot of their daddy>

Good morning!

Yay for the portyboys being home together!

Soccer games today, and a run, and violin lesson, and egg coloring. Should be a good day.

We're also going to try to squeeze in some bicycle practice today. Miss Sunshine can ride a bike, but needs confidence. She can ride her brother's smaller bike all day long, but is nervous of her bigger bike. Easy can go a few feet without ayone holding onto the bike, but has a hard time keeping the bike straight. He keeps turning the wheel when he turns his head.

Zoe cannot figure out how to pedal, but with all the rain, we have only gotten her on the bike twice, LOL! I personally think she is about 2 inches too short for the trike.

Porty- glad to see the boys are together this weekend :)

Meri, when she is a little older, I highly recommend a balance bike over a bike with training wheels. (It's a bike with no pedals.) They just sit on the bike and push with their feet on the ground. As they get comfortable balancing, they can pick up their feet and coast. Miss S had training wheels and still prefers to ride with them, if we'd let her. Easy had the balance bike, and at 4 years old, he's a just a week or two away from bike fluency.
