I'm hanging out hoping that mass quantities of hot tea will magically cure whatever crap I have contracted from the darlings this time.

I'm also debating whether or not I should just call the principal and tell her she needs a sub for the sub. My temp is about 101, and I can barely swallow my own saliva. I'm waiting until 6 to make a decision. (but am definitely leaning toward staying home, and marching my pathetic little rear end into the doc's office.)

I thought the tonsillectomy was supposed to make this go away!!!
dcoroner- i think you need to stay home!

oh! i found out yesterday that i have time before the Pennsylvania election to change my party affiliation from Independant to Democrat, so I can vote I never expected the elections to turn out the way they have, i assumed it would all be done and decided by April! wheeee.
I am having mixed feelings about the end of the week. Next week is spring break. My kids and DH have no school. 2 college kids are coming home, and then one is leaving for California to visit her BF. It's going to be a full couple of days.
good morning! Steph, go to the doc, skip school!

Meri, isn't it exciting? I feel like we have two good candidates, and I don't hate the republican candidate either, so I feel strangely as though the country is already going to be in better hands, no matter how the election turns out, so I am watching what happens in a way that's more fascinated by the political process than invested in the outcome.

Altoids, sounds like you're going to need a vacation from your kids' vacation!

I'm a little groggy this morning, thoroughly enjoying my little bit of coffee.
Totally sleepy, but I need to hit the road. It's surreal that last Wednesday I couldn't make it up to tri-cities, TN b/c of a snow storm, and today it's starting to look like spring (well, still in the 30's). I'm going to give it another try; will be up there all day for a meeting. Steph, get thee to a doctor!

Have a great day all.
Morning all, trying to get going out the door! Fire company meeting last night which meant lots of check writing and report making. I also started the wheels turning on a "fit club" for our station for the younger kids to get them interested in exercise. Myself and another "black hat" (active fire fighter) are going to present the numbers at the next meeting in the hopes of getting entry paid to 3 local events a year and special t-shirts for the runners. Our Ultimate goal is to get a run organized that benefits our station. WE'll see.

Hope everyone has a good day!
Just called the principal. She tried to make me feel guilty! WTF?! I thought I was being nice in trying to keep my bacteria to myself. If she'd rather I infect 4 year olds, I guess that's her issue, not mine! Ugh!

I'm working on becoming *me* again....I recommend that you all go hide behind the toilet while I go thru the transformation.

Congrats to the UW-Madison Men's Hoopsters~~~~>last night they pounded Penn State 77-41 to win at least a share of the Big Ten title.

If they beat Northwestern on Saturday, they're the solo champs.
