Good morning. In a few minutes, I will head out to my team captain's house for the drive to Chattanooga for the relay. Our start time is 12 noon. My first leg should be around 2:30 or 3pm this afternoon. Whee!

Morning Folks,

End of the week, end of another business trip, and time for the weekend. Just three more working days until Monday. One more trip this year. By mid December I will have been away from home 147 days this year. I never would have thought I'd be doing this at this stage of my life.

Happy Trails,

Does vitamin D help?

I've been using one of these instead of a neti pot (looks too much like a teapot, don't know why that bothers me!):

The sinus rinse will help too. High dosages of Vit D are really good at fighting bugs. There was a study that also found Vit D more effective than the flu vax!

I texted my friend and said i could walk with the jogger, but not run and she said she was having nap issues and was going to have to bail, LOL. Not sure if i will walk or whatever today. We shall see. Just ate lunch. Yum.

Depending where you read your info, anywhere from 10,000 IUs up! There was one paper that said 2,000 iU for every Kg of weight! eek.

Take 2000 iu of oral vitamin D per kg of body weight (or about 1000 iu per lb of body weight) This is taken as one large dose every day for 3 days. This should abort the illness

I generally take 10,000-20,000 IU when sick per day.
