I woke up at 3am, on the dot, to go to the bathroom then laid awake for almost 2 hours <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> I let myself sleep in a little bit, but still did not make up for lost sleep. boooooo. Sorry you didn't get good sleep, meri. I was awake at 3 and didn't go back to sleep, but the alarm goes off at 4, so I didn't lose much...<br><br>
It's snowing here at our house, we had about 1.5" when I left. Maybe a bit less.<br><br>
I got up just before 4, dressed, made coffee and oatmeal, woke up the SO. We were eating breakfast watching ABC's World News Now, when <i>bloop!</i> the power goes out. Sigh. So, we call the power company, and apparently we're the first to report it. We are asked to check our breakers <img alt="rolleyes.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/rolleyes.gif"> I know, they have to do that, and asked if our neighbors have power. My SO lets them know we can't see anyone from where we are. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>
I finish my oatmeal and coffee, and head out for work. About 2.5 miles down the road, they have power. They're probably with a different power company (there's a couple in the area) and there were no obvious signs of damage to the wires anywhere I traveled between my house and the first house showing signs of power. Probably the damage was in the other direction. I don't know if the power is back on yet or not. It's our first major power outage of the winter I think! That is a wonder right there. We usually have several over the course of a winter.<br><br>

I peed, went back to bed, ended up rolling out of bed at 4:30 cuz my teacher brain was awake and whilring-twirling (I'm on spring break, for crying out loud!)<br><br>

It's suppose to be rather warm here today. I think my allergies are starting to act up - I'm feeling slightly off, slightly itchy, and slightly hyper. Not a good combination!<br><br>

I made it to Maryland and back yesterday on a marathon driving trip, but I feel a bit of a highway hangover still. I slept well, but not enough.<br><br>
ecodork, my allergies are acting up a bit too. It is going to be near 80 today here.<br><br>
I am planning on doing my long run when I'm more awake and even feeling. Hopefully it won't be too long!<br><br>
Then my parents arrive this afternoon. My house is a disaster. <img alt="shock.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/shock.gif"><br><br>

I'm a category B bachelor this weekend. DW is up in Jacksonville attending a conference. I’ll be joining a friend of mine for dinner tonight. Tomorrow is Angle Food, so I’ll be getting up around 5 to unload the truck – we’ll be feeding 168 families. Then there is a new bike shop that is having a bike fest, so I’ll go over and have a little ride.<br><br>
