5.11 miles on the treadmill this morning, in 45 minutes on the nose (gotta sign up for these at my gym, and I eke out every last second of the 15 minute increment...). 8:48 pace. Followed it up with 2x11 pushups! My arms are feeling strong!

LaT! Where are you? I was stood up at indoor track last night. *sob*

Nice job Robin. We love strong Goddesses!

No run for me this morning, as I was planning some easy speed work at the track after work. But DW tells me we have an appointment after work, so this looks like a rest day.

Probably just as well. I fighting a losing battle with a nasty head cold that is showing signs of moving to my chest. This one may derail my Miami HM this weekend. Grrrrrrr

Good morning all. Today's my long day at work and with my ambulance duty. I did 15 minutes of core & stretching this morning and that'll probably be it in terms of exercise today. Oh well, I'm sure my body needs the rest, although I do miss going to the gym. Tomorrow I'll be back there at 7:30am as usual.

At least it's a bit warmer here now. It was around 10 degrees the past couple of days & now it's going up to low 30s. Makes a world of difference in my office (library), which has absolutely no insulation whatsoever. We all look like Michelin men with layers and layers and layers.

Early morning, uneventful 12 miler @8:48 pace progression style 9:30 - 8:05. Tory ran the first half with me. It's easier to run faster without a dog attached to a leash ... but he loves it..

Robin, next time you can call her up afterwards, and see if she's having a midnight snack of bon bons. If not, you'll still have the satisfaction of waking her up.

I'm rowing after work. Yes, Soos, the rowing played a part in my PR. I can't stand being inactive for more than 2 days, though I'm not motivated enough to join the pushup challenge again. I was pretty pathetic at that anyway! I need some exercise because I'm having BBQ for lunch. Can't think of a better way to keep up my iron stores.

Nice running people.
Fairly chilly this morning for my 10 miler (29 degrees)-negative split despite coming back up the hills-ran back with fartlek MP every 2 minutes-legs feel pretty good overall...

.................I swear our department runs on cake and chocolate......... no wonder I'm having trouble keeping the weight off and am still breaking out at age 51!

Came into our work gym early today and did a middlin-slow (for me) 5 miles on the TM, starting at 9:30/mile and ending at an even 10:00 to keep the HR constant. Wanted to do 6, but started late so bagged it at 5 and got up to my desk before anyone was wondering were I was.

(((Bill)))healing head vibes and protective ones for the chest. GL in your HM.
Choovie, I sure hope you rested well last night.
Nice running everyone. After vigorous foam rollering I did 5 on a sparkly snow covered track, 23F feels like 15, beautiful sunshine, at 10:48 (that's pace, not o'clock). Feeling groovy. Pushups and grandson curls to come. Is anyone going to see Spirit of the Marathon? I'm looking forward to going to it with a running group tomorrow.

Another cold, clear day in Seattle. Looking forward to a run in Discovery Park and maybe some rowing post run. Question: I can only row about 10-15 minutes before my bum/hamstrings start screaming. Typical when starting out? This would be my third, maybe fourth time.

Good workout with the group last night. 3+ mile warmup, 4 mile tempo (gawd, getting sick of tempos...) and 1 mile cooldown. Schedule, training (whatever I'm doing these days) is all helter skelter. I even added some cycling in the other day.

I'm behind reports and what everyone is up to. I took some solo R&R on a nearby island and was computerless for a few days (nice) and haven't any idea what even happened in San Diego. I will try to catch up today.

Good runs/xtraining today, folks. Enjoy the gift of today.

Soundrunner - sounds like you enjoyed some quiet time away. What island did you go to? When I lived up there, I would sometimes escape to Lopez for a weekend. A pilot I knew lived out there and since he was gone often (airline pilot), he would let me use his house for some R&R. I loved it!.

{johnny} - I know that is a very tough decision to let your employees go.

Econo - I'll be up in Eugene March 13/14 for a CLE. Staying at Valley View Inn. I'm done Friday at 4 p.m. and probably won't join the CLE til about 9:45 a.m. on Sat a.m., so as the time gets closer, if you'd like to meet up for a run that would be nice. You'll probably just have to slow down a bit for pokey me.

I'll be running after work. Probably won't be able to make the yoga class I was planning on though, but will do some at home if I can't make it.
