I thought my hacking/coughing/dry throat/"gravel voice" were all from fall allergies and the dry air.
NOT!
I must have some bug that was lovingly spewed at me by one of my rugrats. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/mad.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;" title="">
The coughing has been NASTY for the past couple of days & nights.
 
And I sound like an old woman who's been on a two-pack-a-day habit for 50 years.
 
Hopefully, I can make it through the week of teaching and [more] parent/teacher conferences.....meh...and my workouts have taken a big hit between the PF and this.
 
At least the weather continues to be fabulous, which allows for finishing up yard/garden chores.

obh,
Yesterday, I called the Wisconsin Retirement System to request my application.
I gave them the required info, and should get the estimates back within the next month.
 
DH will call them today to make the same request.

In other news, DH and my sissy's hubby went to Middleton Power Center to order new toys....
 
They each purchased identical snowblowers! WOO!
 
I'm pretty certain that they got this bad boy~~~>

When I retire, my district gives me four years family dental...after that, I can cash in 1/3 of my sick leave hours towards dental.
Bob has a district which offers him 'TERP': 20% of his pay for three years AND a cash out of 1/3 sick leave for family health insurance.
 
Insurance is the big HOLY SHIT of why folks aren't retiring early, eh?

good morrning. hoping to get a run in this morning and maybe storytime at the library.
we buy our own insurance and the whole thing is a nightmare and we are well underinsured because premiums sky rocketed last year <img alt="sad.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//sad.gif">

I am guessing/hoping that in 10 yrs we can be retired. Insurance is the big IF.

Good morning all!
 
I got a job offer yesterday! This means I don't have to worry about what I'm going to do (money and health insurance-wise) after my current funding ends in December. What a big relief. This means a longer commute, but there is an express bus, so at least I won't have to drive. And the new boss said I can work from home when I want to, which is also nice. 
 
I just got back from a short run, which was very nice. I've been battling a headache for the past two days, and I think it's still here. Kind of annoying.

Day off today. I've been expecting 48 hour DOMS from running 33 miles on Sunday but it hasn't happened. My legs feel pretty good. Slept late and happy to report I'm not getting sick from my self styled ultra. I'll probably do an EZ 6 today.
 
I'm staring at a banana and an apple, feeling too lazy to cook breakfast. Oatmeal, eggs, or both?
