Good Morning everyone,

I hope everyone partied responsibly last night! It was just the boiler family at home last night so the other 3 fell asleep by 10 and I had to wake them up at 11:30 to get them up for the ball drop. By 12:30 I was back in bed.

Today I get to attempt to repair the broken door handle on my wife's car.

Have a fun Day everyone.

Happy New Year all!

I've been trying to post for the past 10 days or so...unsuccessfully. It must be our slow Internet connection.

Last night I had supper with friends and then was home by 11. Got up and ran a little over 3 and half. with all the holiday food I have gained around 5 lbs. so it's time to do somwthing about it.

I hope that you all have a wonderful year and I look forward to being able to post again.

I was too. But the time change screwed up my plans. Dinner at the in-laws tonight and there is no way they will watch hockey over college football.

Good morning and Happy New Year! I was able to get out for a 5 mile run yesterday. It was 9 degrees with a 4 degree windchill. It wasn't too bad but a little chilly on the way back with the breeze. Last night we went to some friends' place and played a few games then came home and went over to the neighbor's for a beer. I actually stayed up past 12 for a change, but went to bed shortly after. I was up and at 'em at about 7:30. The only thing on my agenda today is watching college football. I'll be one sad football fan after the championship on Jan. 10. I love me some college football. Have a good day all.

It is close to 50 to day .. ahh ! FL-boiler.. I appreciate the cartoon. DD complains about the temperature in our house all the time.. I tell her build a fire .. or haul some wood in for same to warm up !

We spent NY Eve at a Recycled Percussion concert. They are a home town band here and come back each holiday to play. The local theater in Manchester is tiny, and we hav 6th row seats. It was a great show.

I was able to speak to their lead drummer after, because the last time we heard them perform live was 1995 on the street outside the theater. He remembered that Jazz Fest show immediately -they were only about 15 years old at the time. If you go to Las Vegas i reccomend the show highly - LOTS of energy in those guys.

I spent this morning taking down the Christmas tree and packing up the decoractions. As pretty as the tree and lights are, it is nice to have my family room back to normal!

Time to get out for a walk with the dog in these warm temps!

Good morning...belated....I had a responsible NY Eve with the family....a bit of wine, some beer & some vicarious partying (reading Keith Richard's book) while watching "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" with DD.

Anyway...to bed at the stroke of midnight & up early for an annual Fat Ass run. I cut it short at 30km & omitted the polar bear swim because the ocean was frozen!! I figure that wearing a helmet to prevent a concussion upon diving into the frigid water was a resonable enough limit....not to mention that trying to go pee after said swim...the shrinkage would have made the task as difficult as trying to find a button on a fur coat.

Happy New Year!
