Good Morning, from snowy WI. I hope Santa brought all the good boys and girls what they wanted. If not, it just means you were on the naughty list!

Good morning. No white Xmas here, but snow in the forecast tomorrow. We had a nice dinner at my friend's house yesterday since DH did not feel well enough to go to VA. Just waiting for DH to wake up so Zoe can open her gifts :) Then I will make choc chip pancakes! well, not for Zoe, she gets plain ones, maybe bananas and peanut butter in hers.

We had a blast at Xmas Eve with my side of the crazies.

Hwever, I am NOT used to eating that much or that late AND I think the DE-caff coffee that sis served was really a double-caff espresso....cuz I was awake.all.night.

Good Morning,

Christmas gifts were opened in under 1 hour here. Started at about 7:10 and done by 8:10! Kids seemed to love everything they got. It is a chilly morning here today but sunny and no snow.

Just made a white Christmas in Maine by a couple of days, but we got it. Apparently we'll more than make up for it Sunday night and Monday. Good thing I'm off next week.

Christmas Eve at the HomeCumming ended well before 4 am and all interlopers were sent off to their own homes in cabs and with a couple of designated drivers.

I slept until 10 and the offspring were up cleaning the results of the party. It only took 20 minutes. Friends are getting much neater in their mid-20's :)

Returned from the nawlins breakfast - more like a brunch. A pleasant buzz from slow-for-the-effects-to-kick-in mimosas and hot fresh beignets. Now a nice afternoon and evening at home.

We only have a dusting of snow here .. but I LOVE that- pretty, wintery .. yet no hassle, no shoveling, no slipping ! We went to the 5pm service last night. Lots of people and lots of carol singing... not for me -still hoarse. Then we went off to the gathering at our friends house. It is the second Christmas since one of our very dear friends died.. so it is a somewhat poignant gathering without him.

My kids followed their tradition and slept on the floor in sleeping bags in DS room upstairs. At 16 and 14 I thought they would abandon that but it is also cool to know they are still best friends! ... It was a reasonable 8:30 for stocking opening and then presents, followed by a delicious breakfast. I even made homemade cinnamon rolls (prepared yesterday.. kept overnight in the barbeque outside - "auxiliary refrigerator") YUMMY.

The kids were hired to feed a neighbor's pets this week so I walked up there with DS and Louie ( my dog) after breakfast. We followed a logging road back into the woods for a nice long hike. It was very pretty in the woods today. We even rousted a partridge up into a .. pine tree!

I have conned DH into barbequing some pork for dinner so all I have to do is make a salad and heat some rolls... Pies are made.. and I tried a new recipe for cranberry pomegranate sorbet that is SO yummy ( It's on craftzine.com ).

Merry Christmas all!
