Morning.

Heading out for a run.

The Pack lost steam yesterday and they played sloppy. Not a fitting way to end a great season.

Good morning. Not sure what we are going to do today. I have some things to exchange at Target. Hoping the neighbor can come over and play. Zoe's friend was supposed to come over for the evening (3-8) while her parents went to a work function and i told my friend Zoe had a slight running nose because she is super overprotective and she did not let her daughter come and she went to the work function solo. Zoe was really upset and i really think they need to get over it, though i know if i did not tell them and they saw a little snot they would have flipped out. this kid obviously does not go to day care or any kid activities :D (but she is sick a lot, a lot more than zoe who is rarely sick).

meri,

tell your friend that a teacher (with 36 yrs of experience with 5-7 yr olds) told you that kids need to be exposed to germs to gain immunities and not end up sick all the time

Duh.

The worst cases in our kindergartens were of kids who'd never been to daycare/preschool/playgroups/lessons/blah blah blah....those kids were out at least 3x/month.

Our poor kids not only got introduced to germs from daycare, but I work with people in jail, and mr jebba works with sick people.

They almost never get sick now, thank goodness.

I know. Getting sick builds your immune system. They are just the most overprotective parents I have ever met. Good friend of mine, but holy cow. We go to the playground and she follows her kid up the play structures, down the slides, etc. I stand nearby, just in case, but seriously?

Hi all- Slept in this morning - too cold to get out of the bed ( the auto thermostat puts the heat down to 56 down stairs on weekdays while we are at work.. Upstairs is a few degrees colder. Brr even for me .. I sent DH down to turn on the heat ! ;)

Boot camp this afternoon.. working on formatting my stories today.. ( right now I am procrastinating though )

Meri - agree that poor kid will get the germs eventually! We have a family at our church where the mom NEVER lets the younger kids go to anything without her- no babysitter except grandparents.. no church school, no public school.. the older girl is now at 9 allowed to hang with the kids but YIKES... it 's bizarre. My kids were at home with me all the time but they went to a preschool program at a local church and got all kind of snot and germs every other week. Now in high school they are rarely sick - especially DS who is in sports and keeps the air exchange healthy!

    SOme germ exposure is good.

Perfect day for running errands....
Bed, bath and beyond
Office max

Then~~~~>
I just finished semi-organizing my professional books and kiddy lit on my new shelving in the basement.
Semi-organized because I still need to tweak the kid lit by either topic/genre, character, or author....or not... Ha!

The groovy thing is that the organizing was the final thing on my list of stuff for today.
my To Do list is Ta Done for the day

Time to relax with one of my two books. Decisions, decisions.

I was trying to clean during nap time and prematurely woke Zoe up, which usually sends her into a tizzy, well, it lasted about 90 minutes she finally snapped out of it when the neighbor came to play. whew. i was afraid she was sick(er). But the kitchen drawers are done and the guestroom is mostly done! wahoooo!!
