Morning. -4F here, no windchill. Got up late so I will run this afternoon. Hopefully the roads will be runnable later as they don't look too good at the moment.

nasty weather here has made for 40+ school districts with two hour delays or cancellations

of course, neither my husband's district nor mine are on that list

slow, agonizing, white-knuckled-death-grip driving for me today due to horrid icing and drifting on my country roads

OTOH, I've got a shitload of sick days....maybe I'll just call this one in, eh?

way to go, Porty. I have not checked our flight status yet. Sigh. I hope it is on time. I slept like a rock last night. I think total, minus Zoe waking (only twice!) I slept 10 hours!! probably more than i have slept all last week, LOL. My arm is killing me, the knee is bruised, i am stiff, but just relieved it is not broken.

Good morning,

Atlanta is in a frigid state of being this morning. 19 degrees with wind chills in the single digits. I froze just taking the garbage out.

Morning. Porty, our schools were cancelled today, and there's only an inch of snow on the ground.

Lots of housework today, and grocery shopping. I need to get a run in somewhere.

Meri, I hope you heal soon. Is it going to be hard to do your job with a sore arm?

I got an automated call at 5am informing us that schools were on a 2hr delay. Uh, thanks??? I went for a run. There is no freakin' way that anyone should be out driving. There's an inch of ice covered by a couple inches of snow. Cars can't even make it up the slight incline to the main road. Doesn't matter because traffic on the main road isn't moving anyway.

Some idiot in the state DOE decided that kids can't learn if they aren't in school so they've taken away snow days. We used to get 5. Now, schools are FORCED to hold school when kids should stay home. There is NO REASON to put kids in danger like that. Someone is going to get killed.

Good morning all. We're having a bizarre heat wave. In the 50s and sunny yesterday. This morning I was out at 5 am for a run and it was 44 degrees and windy. I hope the warmer weather makes it over to you folks in MN and WI. Had to get my run in before work as I have a briefing/workshop this morning. Have a good one all.

Jebba- i think work will be ok, i have a hard time moving my arm in certain positions, but that should be ok. I was concerned if it was broken and they wanted to cast me that i would not be able to work. Or drive. Scary stuff indeed.
