Hello all,

My brother (with Cancer, as you probably recall) has been doing well. He has been having frequent tests to make sure the Cancer is held at bay, and here is the latest report:

___

Yesterday he had a CT scan, bloodwork, and an appointment with the oncologist. By the time he met with the Onc the radiologist had already written a report.

The "chest" portion of the scan report:

IMPRESSION:

1. WORSENING METASTATIC DISEASE.

2. NEW CLUSTERED NODULES LIKELY REPRESENTING GRANULOMATOUS INFECTION.

The report also says that the nodules in his lungs & his enlarged lymph nodes might be due to a fungal infection.

So, now we're hoping it's a fungal infection.

My brother is now going to meet with an infectious disease specialist and get a PET scan.

___

I also know that a recurrence would likely be deadly. We're just going to keep on hoping. Amazing thing is he is in better running shape than me, by a lot. He's been running 70 mpw and all at sub 8:00mpm pace!

Work day for me. Have a good one.

question for meri~~~> yesterday you mentioned that you've worked around the PF issues for a long time

I want to know which 'every day' shoes give you solid support, comfort, etc etc etc

I've been good about backing off the pounding, doing buttloads of stretching, icing, rolling, etc...now need to get another pair of school or every day shoes [which don't look like the gramma ones similar to what Aileen wears ]

HJ- I hope it is just a fungal infection.

Porty- I wear Earth shoes. Keen shoes are also good support shoes. I also have SOLE inserts in my running shoes.

I slept ok from 9-4, but have pretty much been up since. Zoe was snoring. Totally funny, but kept me up some. LOL. Hoping to get a run in after work today.

Good morning all!

Prayers for your brother, HJ. And hoping for the best.

I managed to get 3.5 in today before Hurricane Paula comes to visit us. By the time it gets to Havana it should only be a tropical storm. But I probably won't be running for the next couple of days.

So, DH is supposed to take Zoe to library story time today. They never made it last week, let's hope it goes well I am slightly jealous that I am here at work and he is taking her to story time. I really enjoy it.

They had a good time at story time. It was a book about a brown bear. That was all the info I got. They do a lot of singing with the stories. Now I am trying to get out on my run. It is gorgeous out, i am exhausted.

Our library has this lovely little children's theater where they do story time. They sing songs and have puppets and stuff. One of the songs is about rainbows, and the kids raise their hand to say their favorite collor, and they draw it on a poster sized sheet of paper. When Ezra was two, I caught him singing the rainbow song and drawing a rainbow on the wall. Lol.

meri,

WHEEEEEEE! This week I was actually looking at sites with Earth shoe selections...found one I liked, but didn't know much about them.

After reading your post, I went ahead and ordered a pair.

Very simple, perfect for school.

oooh those are cute! I think Altoids has some Earth shoes too. I like Earth even more than the foot benefits because they have a whole line of vegan shoes. My have lasted a LONG time too. The ones I generally wear to work I have had for at least 3+ years!

Jebba-- that is awesome! Zoe was just introduced to puppets for the first time at preschool yoga and she fell in love with them. It did not take her long at all to figure them out.
