I need a good cardio video since I cannot afford a gym membership. I am thinking cardio kickboxing.

The only videos I currently own are some 8 minute abs/arms/legs/and core which I like well enough for conditioning.

Any videos you have and reccomend?

If you can stand Billy Blanks, his stuff is fun and hard. It gets my heart rate up (not the instructional videos, but the actual workouts).

Have you checked out www.collagevideo.com? They have a lot of reviews on there...

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this...but I bought the Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD. I also bought the companion Power Sculpt DVD. I will admit that they're both kicking my butt! There are so many lunges (front, back, cross-over, side) involved in both workouts that my legs are like rubber bands when I'm done. I started out thinking I could probably do the entire Cardio DVD from the get-go...but found that I had to start at the lowest level. (I thought because I could run for over an hour that an hour of cardio wouldn't be so tough - boy, was I wrong). I would recommend both DVD's. The Cardio Max one will get your heart rate up more than the power sculpt one, however.

One nice thing about both DVD's is that, once you know the routine, you can play the DVD with just music in the audio...that way you don't have to listen to the same trainer instruction time after time after time...

MG, I'll send you one. I am putting your t-shirt in the mail tomorrow and I'll throw in this kickboxing one that I have.

Do you have netflix? You can get them on there...

I liked it!! I just don't ever do it. I have several good yoga ones, too, and I can't ever seem to find time! Which is weird, because I have plenty of free time. Just lazy, I guess!

Most of my cardio I get from running. I've got a few favorite DVDs that I turn to though.

For Cardio:
Cardio Kickbok with Cathe Friedrich.

For strengthening/toning:
I Want That Body with Tamilee Webb. 2 15 minute segments each for Abs, Arms and Buns. I find the arms to be the weakest workout of the three. The first 15 minutes segment for buns is killer for a 15 minute workout.

Cathe Friedrich Butts and Guts - it will darn near cripple you.

For Yoga:
Bryan Kest Power Yoga - Energize

Is the kickboxing good for beginners--does she show you the moves before you do them? I have a Billy Blanks Cardio Circuit 1 and it's not bad but I always feel like I'm doing something wrong and he goes straight from one move to the next with very little instruction.

Thanks everyone. I am writing down all your suggestions. I bought the biggest loser one right now but havent tried it yet.

I already own 8 min abs, arms, butt, and legs which I like pretty well (if you can get over the cheesy outfits) and a 45 minute ball workout.

mgrl, I just now saw your post...(it's been a few days). Not that I'm relishing your pain, but it is good to know it wasn't just me! I really like the workout - once the pain goes away.

I've been staying away from doing the workout because my foot has been hurting. I think the lunges really aggravate that. Once my foot is better, I'm going to be back with it, though. (I think lunges are an excellent exercise for runners - helps build all those stabilizing muscles).

I'm a dvd fitness junkie. A co-worker and I do one nearly everyday during lunch! She has a million of them and I have a few great ones and a handful of crappy ones.

Ones I love:
Total Body Cardio with Tanja Djelevic (filmed somewhere in the mountains, I love the scenery)

Pilates for Every Body by Denise Austin (I can't stand her, but I like the workout)

A.M. and P.M. Yoga with Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden

Steer clear of anything with Christi Taylor or Guillermo Gomez (they suck).
