Yo! No black Friday shopping here....doesn't trip my trigger....but for the rest of you, hope it was successful!

I know that meri has already made purchases and returned to bed.
Fill us in on your adventures, meri!

Yesterday was nice....supper with family, Packers won, both boys called to chat.

Today it'll be bootcamp (I feel like a bloated toad, so the workout won't be pretty), then some light grocery shopping, and a bunch of domestic chores.

Tonight we will get together at a restaurant for supper with Bob's mom and his brother.

oh i did great, Porty! and i was back home in bed by 1:10am. Everyone was super nice (customers, workers). I went to Kohls first (you could not even get on the Target lot when i drove by on my way to kohls). I got everything I wanted: steam mop, waffle iron ($10!), memory foam bath mat, hooded towel (for friend), cake pop maker (oh yes!!!!!!), Thomas floor puzzle, Xmas Pjs for Zoe. Then I went to Target and got a dust busted for $30 (regularly $50) and a hat and glove set for Zoe ($3, reg $10). The line at Target was insane. It weaved thru the health and beauty section. I almost bailed on my cart, but the line was moving really fast.

I am exhausted, Zoe just woke up. I would like to buy a new printer for work, so we may go to Office Depot. Oh and I got my $8 crockpot from CVS yesterday for making steel cut oats! it was surprisingly a nice one (reg $40)

Hi Porty!

I don't do black Friday either. I go to work on the day after Thanksgiving every year. It's always deserted and I can get a lot done and leave early.

No Crossfit today, my coach is out of town. Mike is going at 10AM and I can't get away at that time. Tonight i think I'm doing laundry, cleaning the house and heading to bed early. Up early tomorrow and we're headed to Lexington to hit the gym (Mike writes a blog about traveling to different CF gyms) and then we're going to the Bengals game on Sunday. Then he goes back to Pittsburgh

But hey! A fun weekend is in store for me, and I sure could use it.

Good Morning,

I went out at 11 PM to try and get 3 things for the Boiler Family. Got 2 of them. BEST Buy was absolutely nuts by the time I got there at 11:45 and I realized that i would never get what i wanted from them so I left. Went to one walmart and that was total chaos and I could barely walk. Soooo I was driving home and decided to stop at the wal mart by house and was able find a new flat screen tv for the master bedroom and a digital camera for Boiler Jr. They were out of the Kindle for Boilerette Jr they had advertised for 79 bucks so I wll start looking on line for that.

When I found the tv I wanted this lady in front of me was almost in tears that they still had it. Very wierd. Anyway, I grabbed the tv, got in line and after was about 30 minutes in line, I paid for that. I took the tv back to my truck, walked back in to look for the camera and the kindle and it was like the place had emptied out. there were cashiers waiting for customers to ring up, you could move even easier than before. I couldnt believe how empty it was.

Today is rest day for me. Probably take a nap. Also taking the kids to my new bank, the local credit union and I am making/letting/encouraging them to open savings accounts.

Have a good day.

way to go on your scores! I heard Walmart was just a nightmare from some people at Kohls. Can't believe you got the tv! Wow! good luck there. The guy behind me at Target had already purchased 3 laptops/netbooks (?) but you had to pay for electronics separately. He was thrilled to say the least. All the people i saw were really friendly.

Yay to Eric and Meri for your shopping scores!

Eric,
The local news gadget guy was broadcasting from best buy around 4am....he said that it wasn't as insane as in years past.
Controlled chaos!

Jc,
I hear ya.

For our 33d anniversary (which is in three weeks) i want to get us a smallish (24") tv to replace the ancient 19" tube model in the basement.
We use it when we work out, when the boys play video games, and at times just to tape or watch a show.

Me too, JC. I have everything I need and most of what I want. The rest of what I want is really not for sale.

Good morning!

I just got back from my interview. I felt like it went well. I at least didn't drive home thinking "I should have said..." or "I forgot to say...." so we'll see. Either way I know that I went in there with my best and if that isn't what they are looking it is because it's not a good fit for them, not because I tripped over my words.

I will be doing some shoping for appetizers for my Grey Cup Gathering on Sunday. 99th year for our football trophy. Go Lions - Go West!

OMG i love the steam mop! we have hard wood downstairs (that is desperate to be refinished) and tile in the kitchen and i hate hate hate hate hate to mop.

Oh I have been thinking of a steam moppy thing, or a Swiffer Wet Vac, as 60% of my new apartment is vinyl flooring. There is no hands and knees washing of this puppy!
