FUN! I GOTS SOME!

If DS remains on level two he gets a six hour home visit pass each day this weekend - Saturday Sunday Monday! Whoopee!!! Tuesday will be his psych eval, then Wednesday a regular doc visit to rule out any physical issues. I was hoping he'd get out on the 3rd but there's still 4 days of school beyond that and since the reason he's there in the first place is truancy, I can't very well say "oh those last four days of school, nahhh we can skip that." y'know?

I'm heading to the lake this weekend, but I admit I have mixed feelings about it. It's not very relaxing since DS doesn't sit still or nap. Ever.

all of the women including me in my office are having re-do days. gggrrrrrr Craigy was being a douche this morning and I know he was some what joking with me but at the same time I'm stressed and tired and it doesn't sit well with me. Then I get to work and find out the door is locked and I don't have a key yet. So I get to work a 1/2 hr early and have to sit there for 40 minutes before some one comes to let me in. blah. cranky cranky Erin

Who all here read Born to Run? Anyone try chia seeds? I thought TimR did? I tried them out this morning in a drink from a recipe from the No Meat Athlete. I was apprehensive because of the "gel like texture" the seeds make, but it wasn't bad at all. In fact, it was kind of light and refreshing. And it made my tummy feel better! Like, as soon as it hit my stomach. Weird, I know.

re-do day

going back to bed and starting the day over. One co-worker had a powder eye shadow explode all over her bathroom and her brand new bathroom rugs and then had her milk spill out of it's covered container and all over the passenger seat of her car. Co-worker #2 had her coffee mug go flying off the roof of her car and right down her shirt and jeans and she was already running late.

I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but I still should be able to relax a bit. My parents rented a place at the beach for the week, so I'm planning to spend a day with them Sunday. Tonight I have a dinner party and possibly going to see my friend's band at a gay club in the Fenway. Tomw we are doing a costume closet clean out (the first of many I'm sure), then I might be gallery sitting for a couple hours. Nothing on the docket Sat night though. Monday, nothing going on during the day but I am going to see a band that night. I won tix.

Big G! Enjoy all the time you have with your son...good things afoot!

Missy, have fun! you too, Amy...may you find someone to watch DS, so you can sneak in a little nap!

Greetings, alll.

Missybabe - woohoo for beach house time! that sounds great!

BigG- RAWR! Excellent news about DS being able to visit. Hopefully the weekend will be smoother than what you've experienced in a while.

Not fun for me: The storms last night. They weren't as bad as what's come through recently, but I have another tree (20-30 foot) that I'm going to have to take down now. It's horribly curved from the wind now. I'll show a pic later.

Also not fun: I'm at the honda dealership. My new ride came to me needing a front end alignment, and one section of the dashboard is making a little creaking/popping sound. Yeah, the latter is small, but it's a new car! It shouldn't have little issues yet! grrr. So, I took off of work today and drove an hour here - and now I sit in their waiting area. At least they have wi-fi.

Fun: (When I get out of here) I have a crazy list of to-do's that I've been meaning to knock off the list for ages. Today shall be the day that I get most of them done!!!!

I got them at The Good Food Co-op here in Rochester. They have a BIG buy in bulk room, one of the largest in Minnesota in fact, so I was able to get just a small bag to try them out. I've seen them in my grocery in the health food aisle but they seemed ridiculously expensive there. Want some?

Missy - your weekend sounds fab! The relay ended right across the water from Newport (in Westport, MA), so pretty up there!

Great news, Big G!

Wippy - everyone is a douche at some time or another, myself included. Hope your day improves!

J and I are planless for the upcoming weekend and loving it! Going to roll with whatever comes up. Will likely hit an outdoor beer garden this evening and may spend some time in CT w/his brother and his family. Tomorrow morning I'm cheering on a local runner friend as he swims in the Great Hudson River Swim followed by some BBQ

Our plans are centered around the HM tomorrow. Traverse City is ~2.5 hours north of GR and there are many wineries up and down the peninsula. So wine tasting with another couple that is traveling with us! Yeah!

Newport sounds great Missy! HOpe you enjoy your weekend all!!

Hi, friends. I spent the morning at the MU Bookstore and came back with nada. Well, that's not really true. The tech people are in the basement and they helped me to sort out some computer/tablet/smartphone issues I had been having. I also have a $30 Groupon for the bookstore that expires June 30, and Mizzou is selling t-shirts to aid tornado victims in Joplin. I found out (a) they're out of shirts until at least Tuesday, (b) I can't use my Groupon to buy the shirt, and (c) I can only buy apparel with the Groupon. So, if I want a $25 shirt, I have to buy at $10 shirt because that's the cheapest they have. I didn't buy anything, and I'll go back another day when I'm not cranky and see what gifts I can find for others.

Hi everyone!! Thanks for the hellos I got when I posted the other night. It was great to see that peeps haven't forgotten me.

Erin, my first day at my last (hated) job, no one showed up to let me in for an hour. I know how awful that feels. Also, you've just had a lot of stress (from what I've tried to catch up on) and change, so a little douchey happens. Hope everyone treats you well from here on out.

Not doing a lot of running these days. I have to keep my runs short and slow because I have some sort of nagging hip injury. In fact, I am about to go and get an MRI with contrast to see if I have a labral tear. I sure hope not.

Anyhoo, will check in later!
