...really are sooo much fun. Yesterday was a record breaker here and my neighbour Victor (middle pic) decided to build a wall across the road and set up a toll booth. The road is normally 2 full lanes wide but it seems to be getting narrower.

We're not expecting any more snow until later this afternoon. Yahoooo.

(I wonder where we will put it!!!)

Two years ago on this date it was over 60F.
March in Ontario is always exciting...except for those who commit suicide because they are sure spring is here and then this happens.

Well, I'm the suicidal one, although I have no illusions that spring comes to the Adirondacks util mid-April.

I'm really ready for this to be over. We're waiting for a propane delivery for the generator.

JC, we set out on the pathway downtown, we being four running clinic folks and I... beautiful sunny day with the temps at -3c (26f) and ended 10 miles later in +10c (50f) glory with nary a hint of ice or snow.

I miss snow, but not THAT much.

John Thank God you all had the sense to keep the snow to yourselves this time( well, except for the little dollop in the middle of the US! ) We had rain and the brooks are full .. and yes there is still snow left ( about a foot in most places ) but I can actually see the picnic table in the back yard! It has been covered since December this year.
Any bets when it all melts away ( I have one on a snow pile at school for Cinco de Mayo! )

The clinics out of my store were doing 30K today...hee hee...good luck. One of the many reasons I won't do another clinic beyond Learn to Run.

I saw two runners out this morning...where it was plowed...still seemed to be two steps forward, one slip back. No thanks.

It rained and rained yesterday, but we still have a good 3' of snow out there. Covered with crusty ice.

That's kind of a pathetic temperature isn't it??

Too cold to be on the beach, too hot to ski.

...not too bad for running, but well over the perfect distance runner's temp of 48.
