Son1 and I raced at Maumee Bay yesterday. The swim is in a man-made lake. The water STUNK! After a pre-race swim on Saturday I tried hand-washing some stuff with no luck. This morning, I soaked everything in hot water and Oxy-Clean, then washed normal with extra rinse. It still stinks! Any suggestions on getting rid of the pond scum stink?

The water LOOKED clean. Tons of grab you and strangle you sea weed though! Had a piece on my timing chip for about 1200, another on my hand for 500. Luckily I had done a pre-race swim and knew to expect it! Needless to say, on the 3hr drive home we had LOTS of air moving in the van. Think normal post race stink+pond scum stink+son1's shoes.
