<p>Anyone doing the US 10K on September 6?  There is a $5.00 discount coupon if you register before July 24 on active.com, although I couldn't get the coupon to work tonight, but then again Active.com hates me anyway.</p>

<p>If you want to be timed the fee is $32.00; untimed $28.00 and for $4.00 you can have your packet mailed to you instead of picking it up at Cumberland Mall.  Alternately you can register at any Big Peach Running Store and pick up your number (and save on the $3.50 active.com fee).</p>

<p>If you have not run the course before it is tough, kind of like climbing stairs as the course goes up and up.  You occasionally reach a flat spot but then it goes up again.  And of course, September 6 can be very warm and/or wet.  I've only ran this course once before.</p>

<p>If I'm around, I might do it again this year. I'm still holding out hope I won't be! I did it last year. Wasn't unbearably hot (maybe like this year's Peachtree?) and by the 4th or 5th hill, my legs didn't care anymore. Interesting that it seemed to kind of get easier to go up hills at that point.</p>
