Question re: Garmin 305:

Instruction manual says operational temperature range is -4 degrees F to 140 degrees F (who's gonna run in 140???). Looking at the forecast for my run tomorrow a.m., its supposed to be -4 with -17 windchill. Anyone know if my Garmin really won't work when its that cold??

I've taken my mountain GPS out in the hills when it's been more than a little chilly. I suspect the battery will drain faster than normal but otherwise there should be no real problem.

The display (liquid crystals) doesn't work that fast, but if I protect it under my jacket it's been good on runs down to 30 below fahrenheit.
