DUDE!!!!!!!!!

These things freakin' ROCK! I just had them for lunch, yummy....a nice sweet/smoky BBQ sauce and they were really good. Cook up a big mess of collards and you gots a good southern meal! It was obvious they were not meat, but they were VERY tasty.

they are not bad. If you go to Whole Foods, there are Yves (i think) skewers-- one is a "meat" with BBQ sauce and the other is "chicken" in a lemon pepper sauce. They are with the tofu stuff.

its okay, gets kinda dry, so i dip it in BBQ sauce. DH tells me it looks like poop on a stick and then he says that about 18 times. and then again the next day.
I have not tried the lemon pepper. i am not sure i like lemon pepper, but if i go to WF's this week i may pick one up!

I have to get there before Friday. I might swing by TJs on my way home tomorrow and go the long way home.....it's not much of a detour if I do them together, and I want more of those riblets!!!

WF is just so damn expensive for most of their stuff. That is one thing that sucks about eating healthy. Is there anywhere else in our area I should know about to get veg stuff, besides TJs, WF and Kimberton?

i can't think of anywhere else. A lot of the Giants have good veggie foods, but limited selections. Have you had TJ's soba noodle bowls? they are good! TJs will be great for you to stock up on because a lot of it is single servings (you can ask my grandpa, he loves TJs! but in Ardmore).

I haven't....but every time I go there I find something else to like. And you're right, everything does seem to be for one or two person households, which works great for me. I was bummed they didn't have soy flour pitas last time I was there, they make yummy pizzas! Now that I found the tofurky sausage, I will be making that more often too.

Still sadly waiting for a good "tofishie" fish substitute.....sniffle.....

Genie,
I ended up running to Publix last night with a storm rolling in so that I could have the Gardenburger Riblets for dinner. With rice and fresh corn. Yum!

I love these things!! Great with the Lundberg Wild rice blend from WF's! Delish. Ooh, and a nice salad..... Or just tater tots.

You know, I find these at regular grocery stores. Even SuperTarget and Super Walmarts usually have them. WF is awesome, but only for the whole foods in bulk stuff. The pre-packaged stuff you can find at regular stores is overpriced there.

Oh, and there is a tofishie fish thing (as you called it) but it tasted like shit. Actually shit would have been better. Totally gross. Smelled too much like fish (not in a good way). I think I bought it at Publix, but Kroger has that stuff too, sometimes. I don't remember what it was called. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you! Just my 2 cents, though....
